Echo: we go in blind Looks at their number of tries... Wow they really mean blind. Impressive seeing a team actually try their own way even if it takes way longer.
No longer TOPless. Grats to you guys for beating it! Both the boss and the party spamming LBs was such a great idea for the last phase. No holds barred, just a straight up race to see who comes out on top.
Congrats on finally clearing the fight! Fun fact: Any raidwide including enrage only applies to 1 player per game tick. It also takes an additional tick for the fail state to kick in, so if the boss goes down on the exact tick the last person dies, you still win even though you technically wiped.
@@bibi24 you get to see why they are such a great team. they have to tackle a different type of game, the hardest the game has to offer. and you get to see the way they problem solve through the mechanics. and their overall teamwork.
@@keichishoshuko Not just that. They're also just genuinely entertaining to watch. You don't often see full blind Ultimate prog and also the team is funny af.

Great job to everyone involved, it takes so much effort to pull this off. I raid vicariously through others, so it feels great to watch a team pull through and finally get the clear. 👍
Man, I still get so excited and hype watching ANYONE finally clench that clear. The fact y'all did it right as enrage went off made it taht much sweeter
Praise be that AOEs give out damage in order of proximity. Let's go! I knew the clear was coming, but it doesn't make it any less tense. Congratulations! :)
Crit RNG swings party dps way too much and is one of the reasons why ppl have been so critical of the current job design (most damage is in few moves that happen during burst) If you low-roll p1 you have to use extra stuff you were saving for p2 to get past it (potentially limit break, which then there's a chance you make it to p4 without lb3). You use extra stuff and hope that you high-roll crits on p2 to make up for it, so you can save extra for p3. And if you don't, you either wipe p2 or go empty into p3 and wipe on it. With better food and pots this is already hardly an issue, which is a testament to how much a few stat points can determine a phase that lasts less than a burst cycle (2mins), soon with 6.5 gear and then 6.55 relic this issue will disappear. Still, this should never be an issue on content, the current job design and tight damage checks just don't work well together, the devs have to pick one.
I mean LR has always been a relatively easy mechanic, the only reason people had trouble with it was due to greedy players not respecting the mech What I can see being the hard part is mirrors reflecting mechs in a way that can't be logically shortcutted (after intermission in E8S you can identify how to rotate by which side has the blue mirror) and instead has to be fully understood
I feel Robins pain, TOP was the first fight in all of XIV's history where I had to play fucking perfectly on WHM. Getting those double lily re-openers felt mandatory for success. Which more a testament to how much better WHM has become over the years.
@@jackjohnson8305Wow World First and vacations interrupted the prog. They did it for about 12 days straight then took a five month break because their schedules wouldn't work out. They cleared about a week later.
@@jackjohnson8305 dont forget they did it blind. so they couldnt look at other people doing it to get ideas, which is a large part even for world first clears. it is such a big advantage to be able to see other peoples ideas and test them and mix them with your own to create new ideas you wouldve never come up with before
in ff14 when enrage hits it does not hit the entire group at once but it hits in an order of closest person to the boss to farthest person. that is why if you slow down the video you will see only 3 persons died and they were the closest to the boss.
@@wizonetd0822 Interesting, I would say I prefer the enrages where you can still stand for like 5~10 seconds by playing like the best raid ever but I know the 999999 damage is a staple in FF. Also that one seems like a straight up DPS check, kill before the world ends. Thanks for the info.
@@dscarmo Enrage works in FF14 very different then in WoW and this enrage is more like in Savage then a Ultimate, in WoW you can still squeeze a little bit of time after the enrage (in the most case) but in FF14 the Boss kill always the whole raid in the end and dont even the Invulvs (something like the Paladin Bubble in WoW) work to survive.. in other Ultimates the Boss starts to permanent kill one Player after the another like in "The Epic of Alexander" until no one is left and then you wipe

Nicely done. Perseverence to the the extreme tbh. Not many people would put themselves throught this.
