It’s as if Amy Winehouse walked onto the wrong stage. This is generally how A.G. sounds to me: Like a Pop singer in opera. And the voice lacks any distinction or signature. So does the expression. It’s all so very generalized, singing by-numbers.
Highly praised and yet boring. I won't say that Grigorian does anything wrong here, but she doesn't hit the right tone for the lady. It's all too pretty and bores me. This aria needs to be shaped, because it is not necessarily THE highlight of the work - but it is if a Verrett, Callas or Zampieri sings it. Every syllable crackles with irritation and realization, the approaching decay of the lady is actually unmistakable, but not when sung like this.
totally agree. Good voice - technique - doing all the right things but seems to be relying on the hideous staging to make any interpretation. No inflection of TEXT - all evenly sung with no message. Next. Welcome to today.
Awful staging and Asmik out of her fach. The interpretstion seems inadaquate too. She is going in a wrong direction singing high dramatic soprano roles like Turandot and Lady Macbeth.
Bravissima! Magnifique voix et technique! Merci !! Encooore!
What a great singer and actress👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Sempre più brava madame Grigorian. Attendo Butterfly a Verona

Sorry it was no longer in ORF 2 or Arte TV. Maybe in the near future will be in DVD/Blueray.🙏

Amazing - you obviously haven't seen or heard her live. I have and I have the completely opposite view.
@@gerontius3 And you have no sense of taste. This is classical music. You are -- woke?
@@r1p2m32 Define "woke". I'll give you three sentences. Then I'll let you know.
Tempo is boring. Well sung, she is more of a singing actress.

Perderai presto la voce se continuerai a fare il soprano drammatico. Speriamo di no. Auguri.

Rivaluta la prova di Netrebko il 7 dicembre quest'anno a Scala. Grigorian ben recita e nulla sbaglia, ma Lady non e' per lei.
@@margheritarubino2585 Certamente.
