I never heard of this band before. I caught them last night on a re-run of "Saturday Night Live"...and I feel so bummed I was never exposed to them before. But, man, am I excited to finally discover a band that truly knows how to write a song, and play their instruments, and put their heart and song into it. This band was definitely worth waiting for, esp with all the crap that is out there today.

My son-in-law had me listen to this a couple days ago and I feel like it's a breath of clean and fresh air! I am so happy that there are still a few (very few!) new bands that are about music more than money, fame and fortune. This will be one of the first CDs of a new band I have bought in many years.

i miss Charlottesville so much and this awesome radio station that played all the types of music and did these little jam sessions with these great bands

I saw this girl, Brittany Howard, on the Americana Music Festival on PBS Saturday night. Found she sings with a group called Alabama Shakes. She turns her heart and soul inside out and lays it on the stage. If Otis Redding and Janis Joplin had a child, this would be her.
