Am I a sitar player? Well... no, not really, but I love to sit down and act like one. And then I found myself playing this little Nick Drake instrumental...
are you the lost brother of Weird Al Yankovic? Jokes apart, I enjoyed a lot your interpretation. I am a musician too, and I tried once to play the tambura, it is really difficult. . . . . . Congratulations!
Oh, I'm not worthy 😂 No, I did not sit down thinking "hey let's do a Nick Drake song in a weird funny way", it just came into my head when I was playing the sitar. I did record a proper Nick Drake song on my album Songs From The Electric Anytime Playground. That is a pretty wild garagerock take on 'Know', playing a song I live by an artist I love and respect, but played in my own musical language. It's on TH-cam as well...! Tambura (or tampura?) is also beautiful, but I have a digital one. Much easier to change key, for starters!
@@bietelesq.796 ..... "Tampura", you're right. I don't really care if you play in "your own musical language" if I like the musicality contained in it. I mean, our European music written tradition is more or less 1.000 years old. That means we have many many music transmitted in a non written way. I will search for your album if you have uploaded here. I started my TH-cam channel 8 months ago with my own music + some covers too!
Sweetness, my guy. Thanks for having us
Algorithm randomly sent this my way, and I'm glad it did 🙂
