Lived on fjordur for months on smalls and played countless wipes on unoffi in lab, bee, shipwreck and had 0 clue that abyssal depths part of the map was even a thing, let alone that base spot in there. 10/10 video, taking this spot for my next wipe
It's actually kinda crazy that not many people even know about the Abyssal Depths, the ONLY time I ever see people built in those random caves down there on Official/Unofficial is to breed Megachelons lol. I actually love this spot on Unofficial because you can basically flesh out that entire rathole with Vacuums. Actually insane how much space there is! Glad it helped you out! Oh, and I also forgot that most Unofficial servers change their loot drop table, so that red loot crate down there that spawns constantly is free BP's lol
Yessssir, if you all wanted to go really crazy, you can block off the entire abyssal depths at that main entrance and just line that shit like you would shadow cave. Layers of vacuums/turrets/Tuso’s/sharks. Haha.
I don't play Ark anymore, i burnt myself out big time. However, i still watch Ark related videos (mostly pvp) and info vids. I gotta say man, keep making more my dude. This was well put together and refreshing to watch.
Once again, absolutely sick edits in the video! Crazy spot to show and even crazier how detailed you are with the build, a Bob could follow this video and make it a very very hard raid. I love it
You can put turrets high enough to shoot riders. You can build foundations forwards out from the wall and then build hatch frames out from the top. If it’s allowed, use floating turrets in those hatch frames and it will work to shoot riders.
I recommend using basilos to block entrance with megalodon behind. People can kill those shark very quickly with tek bow/ tuso. Maybe can pick the sharks out of the rathole with tuso also which would be super bad.
As long as they have the pack bonus buff tek bows are utterly useless and capped bows do like 50 damage to a shark. Only issue is the tuso for sure. However, as long as your sharks are full HP and good saddle. You can almost out damage a tuso with a shark because of its bleed. 150k hp tuso will take 7500 bleed damage every 5s. Dead in a little over a minute. Repeat that for X amount of sharks in your rathole. They’ll go through a lot of Tuso’s haha. Basilo’s may be okay? Honestly never though about putting on there just cause they do negative damage and can be pulled out just as easily with a tuso. At the end of the day. These Dino’s are just a stalling mechanism to make sure you can get back online before they start soaking your wall. Because it is an extremely easy walk soak if you are offline. Dino’s are key here! Ah shit yeah you’re right, not sure why I thought you could grab with tuso lol. But it definitely could be an option have them in the front. But honestly nothing is keeping someone bringing a megachelon/thyla and bleeding your basi’s if they are in the front. It’ll definitely slow someone down. Wouldn’t be a bad option to have 2-3 in the front, followed by a ton of megalodons, then a tuso in the back. Thanks for the correction bud! Sometimes I do mess up haha!

I think I found this on like day 1 of Fjordur but somehow didn't check the back for any extra space so just brushed it off as bad, gj making this lol I had given up on Fjordur having good ratholes
Hah yeah, if you aren't really looking for any extra space, you could have easily glanced over that. But yeah Fjordur actually doesn't have too many ratholes. Underwater is a different story though, tons there.
Haha, luckily this spot really isn’t too bad to build. Almost all the turrets you set on the ground kinda stadium seating upwards. The vacuum part I would just mess with on single player to get the best build down (especially if you are on official). Super easy rathole to build! You got this homie!
I´m not sure what to think about the lenght of the video... I just want to see the spot lol. Except for that its pretty good. Personally I think multible turrets on only survivors is important to kill riders of tames.
Hah my mentality when creating videos is you will never please 100% of your audience, but with some of these spots new players don’t know the area and it helps understand what is around you. I think I have chapters set up on that video, so you can just jump to the spot itself. But I absolutely respect your opinion and always try and find ways to tailor to everyone =] And while online, I almost always most of the turrets on survivors/mounted because it still shoots riders off tames but keeps from wasting ammo if they decide to throw unmourned carbo’s at you. If your online you can handle those tames with tames/bleeders of your own without wasting ammo. Offline is a different story, I personally just throw them all on survivors/tamed because one way or another they will soak it out and carbo bomb the survivors only turrets, or have to soak entire wall. I’d Rather utilize all the ammo I’ve spent my time crafting. But again, I appreciate the comment and feedback =]

Hey! So if you are playing officials, smalls current megalodon line is at 195 HP. Which puts it at 24k hp babies. You technically really only want HP since the main role of them is strictly for its bleed damage and to survive as long as they can. It doesn’t hurt to have melee, but definitely isn’t necessary. If you aren’t on official, try and shoot for a fresh tame Shark with 45+ HP. Only level HP on them! Hope that helps!

Hey so the rathole entrance isn’t big enough for the sharks to fit through, only way they can get the sharks out is if they use a Tuso and grab them out one by one!

Whenever one side of the vacuum is open, as long as you are looking at the open side you can just tap “e” and it’ll close it. You have to hold “e” to open it though. Not sure what your hotkeys are, but whatever your basic interact button is. You playing on PC?
Absolutely does, however, if online, proper turret settings and whistle management of the sharks will outplay the wyvern milk. As long as you push the raider in far enough into the rathole. Wyvern milk does stop the bleed, however, it is extremely difficult to kill +8 pack sharks, especially when official reaches 100k hp. Offline, sure, you may run into a bigger issue, however, the benefit of pack bonus still outweighs a lot of other defense options you see when comparing it to other spots, even with the wyvern milk. From a defense standpoint, especially offline, this spot can take a very long time to raid if you have enough sharks. Good comment though! Appreciate it!

I have only 300 hours at most so I don't know the cap I know you can get any dino to under level 450, I only tamed wild dino, never really do breeding and mutation or imprinting, also is there other creature that like the sharks but on land beside the thyleo and Carno and Dein cause I don't think they stack to 8 like the shark does, like increase damage and resistance, also can you stack shadow mane and yuty along with the pack stats , and anyway, to counter shadow mane stun, in the wild i get constantly stun they usually are in packs so one stun you get stun indefinitely until you die

Only other Dino like the sharks but on land is the Allosaurus, they have pack bonus and same “gnashed” bleed ability as the sharks. However the pack only goes up to +2 and only receive bonus damage. So they kinda suck ass lol. Shadowmanes do get pack bonus but it’s kinda like the Allo/carno. Nowhere near as strong as the sharks. Their hydration buff is good, as well as the mate boosted roar the male can do. But if you encounter them in the wild, only one can stun/dismount you. There is a 45s cooldown before you can get stunned/dismounted again. WC also changed that shadowmanes can no longer attack underwater. If you are in a raid situation, the mammoth drum buff (as long a someone is playing it) anyone ally affected by the buff can’t be netted, dismounted, or picked off any dino.
A Big problem is the 6x damage it ruins the whole rh the turrets are ez to drop with a Rex stego push and the sharks can easily be tek bowd or killed with a tuso
I agree, this rathole is a very easy soak since it is so horizontal. However if you have enough sharks in here (especially on official where the current lines get close to 100k hp. It would take them so long to pull each shark out. If they try and tek bow the sharks from within the rathole. With the +8 pack bonus I believe a capped tek bow does like 50ish damage? So they will be there for a very long time. If you don’t mind being seen, I HIGHLY recommend d building up the outside. Especially so you can drop a TP down to get in and out. I appreciate the comment though =]
True true, I’m not sure if shadowmanes can fit through the entrance. If they don’t and they are able to hit the Tuso’s through the entrance then yeah you got a good idea going there. Definitely doesn’t hurt to have them there! I appreciate this conversation though! Can’t hurt to toss ideas around on how to make the spot better!
Official or unofficial? Official there are a ton of ratholes but none nearly close to this one. Unofficial there is a diplo UW spot that is basically unraidable.
So if you hop to 6:02, there is that spot that slants down a bit and the ceiling is high there, keep tossing it out around that area and you should be able to uncryo it there. For some reason uncryo hitbox's are reduced whenever you cryosick things, even though Tuso's don't get cryosicked, it may still help tossing it out. The other option is a bit more labor intensive option. But you can breed your Tuso's outside the rathole and hatch the egg inside the rathole, with that method you can basically stack as many Tuso's as you want lol. I think you can only get away with uncryoing two Tuso's in that spot. The rest you will have to raise from babies. Hope that helps!
That is probably the biggest downside to this spot. I was unable to find a way to fit a TP inside the rathole on official settings. If you want to mess around with it on single player go for it, you may find a spot. Best option is to build up the outside of the rathole and place a TP out there.
You don't need tp when you have just use fdjour hawk and organic polymer ,you eat organic polymer usually instant kill you and bring everything in your inventory to your respawn
Well since they nerfed fjordhawks into the ground awhile back, you can only use that once per hour. And from a defensive standpoint, if your in a rathole like that you never want to be completely pushed up into it, always want to have a way to get out and counter FOB from a different way.
Lol, this video isn't forcing you to build in this rathole. If you think this spot is shit then that is your prerogative. However, for the benefit of the "legit" players in Ark, this is a very good spot to build in and is easy to defend. But, whenever you get banned from every server that doesn't allow mesh building, this spot will be a very nice alternative for you to build in =] Nonetheless, I do appreciate the comment!
Let’s look at this logically, the mesh spot you are talking about: 1. Larger main entrance to defend 2. Technically you have to defend from two sides, because let’s face it, you are meshing so someone raiding will want to fight fire with fire. 3. If you plan on building in the middle of the mesh, you basically are giving people a free raid since you are out in the open and have to defend from everywhere 4. You’ll prolly get banned anyway so any work you do will be pointless. I’d be more than happy to have a conversation about why the spot is shit But currently, this spot is honestly ridiculously hard to raid online. But thanks for the comment!

A Big problem is the 6x damage it ruins the whole rh the turrets are ez to drop with a Rex stego push and the sharks can easily be tek bowd or killed with a tuso
I agree, this rathole is a very easy soak since it is so horizontal. However if you have enough sharks in here (especially on official where the current lines get close to 100k hp. It would take them so long to pull each shark out. If they try and tek bow the sharks from within the rathole. With the +8 pack bonus I believe a capped tek bow does like 50ish damage? So they will be there for a very long time.
If you don’t mind being seen, I HIGHLY recommend d building up the outside. Especially so you can drop a TP down to get in and out.

@@FatCatArk yh true I would say shadows can help 2 bc they have alot of HP and they make damage on the tuso when hit so u kinda have 2 tek bow them
True true, I’m not sure if shadowmanes can fit through the entrance. If they don’t and they are able to hit the Tuso’s through the entrance then yeah you got a good idea going there. Definitely doesn’t hurt to have them there!

Official or unofficial? Official there are a ton of ratholes but none nearly close to this one. Unofficial there is a diplo UW spot that is basically unraidable.

How u pocket the tuso?
So if you hop to 6:02, there is that spot that slants down a bit and the ceiling is high there, keep tossing it out around that area and you should be able to uncryo it there. For some reason uncryo hitbox's are reduced whenever you cryosick things, even though Tuso's don't get cryosicked, it may still help tossing it out. The other option is a bit more labor intensive option. But you can breed your Tuso's outside the rathole and hatch the egg inside the rathole, with that method you can basically stack as many Tuso's as you want lol. I think you can only get away with uncryoing two Tuso's in that spot. The rest you will have to raise from babies. Hope that helps!

That is probably the biggest downside to this spot. I was unable to find a way to fit a TP inside the rathole on official settings. If you want to mess around with it on single player go for it, you may find a spot. Best option is to build up the outside of the rathole and place a TP out there.
You don't need tp when you have just use fdjour hawk and organic polymer ,you eat organic polymer usually instant kill you and bring everything in your inventory to your respawn

Well since they nerfed fjordhawks into the ground awhile back, you can only use that once per hour.
And from a defensive standpoint, if your in a rathole like that you never want to be completely pushed up into it, always want to have a way to get out and counter FOB from a different way.

Lol, this video isn't forcing you to build in this rathole. If you think this spot is shit then that is your prerogative. However, for the benefit of the "legit" players in Ark, this is a very good spot to build in and is easy to defend. But, whenever you get banned from every server that doesn't allow mesh building, this spot will be a very nice alternative for you to build in =] Nonetheless, I do appreciate the comment!

Let’s look at this logically, the mesh spot you are talking about:
1. Larger main entrance to defend
2. Technically you have to defend from two sides, because let’s face it, you are meshing so someone raiding will want to fight fire with fire.
3. If you plan on building in the middle of the mesh, you basically are giving people a free raid since you are out in the open and have to defend from everywhere
4. You’ll prolly get banned anyway so any work you do will be pointless.
I’d be more than happy to have a conversation about why the spot is shit
But currently, this spot is honestly ridiculously hard to raid online. But thanks for the comment!
