I think my main goal in general for the new year is to put myself more out there. Do things in the outside world I've wanted to do for a while (maybe even with an attempt taken place) but would clown myself on to convince myself to keep isolating. I'm turning 19 this year and I've always struggled with my mental health and even leaving the house. 2024 I definitely improved on that, but didn't hit all of my goals (which is also okay). I've also always wanted to go back into the world of creating art and becoming a content creator, so hopefully I can manage to start doing what I've always wanted to do without shaming myself for it. I think that's a good start! :D
@@josepha133 do you have any tips for what happens when you meet toxic people out there? i did everything in my power to go outside and live my life and i met the worst people i could have possibly met and now i have trauma and i'm isolating again and i can't even find a reason to go outside again, like for what? i really wanna try again but i also stopped seeing the point :(

baby steps!! it's all about the baby steps! I'm trying to write down 1 sentence in my journal everyday! I try to go outside once everyday and I try to go to sleep by 10 PM and because of this video I will go on a run tomorrow morning to challenge myself! but I think most importantly I'm focused on changing the way I think, being kinder to myself and giving myself credit for waking up everyday, trying again even though 2024 was a rock bottom year... Wow I love that! Thank u for the sweetest encouragement you’re such an angel 👼 I will also join on this 10pm goal, going to bed early is still the biggest challenge for me but maybe I can do 11pm tn heheh
i hate gym so last year i actually started outside activities like walking 10k steps, riding a bikie everywhere and swimming in a lake during summer. lost 12kg and stuck with the movement at the swimming pool etc. i love how much more mobile my body feels. it’s mindblowing
i started gym a few months ago and hated it so much. i felt so insecure, easily discouraged, and just not feeling like myself after every workout. but your video came through and it really helped with learning on how to cultivate such a peaceful and supportive mindset especially to my own self. this video is so encouraging and sooo looking forward to trying this new method and try to start feeling myself. start slow and steady! thank you so muchhh!

I agree so much with you. When I began to learn more about working out, muscle density etc... My inner teenager freaked out, because before working out was a punishment for eating too much of this or too much of that. So as a 28 years old woman at the time, I took some weeks to deconstructed all that BS and learn to love the way I feel after a work out and not the way I look. Of course, I feel super proud of my new muscles. I feel strong and confident. I want to take space and not disappear (to get smaller and thinner is a way of disappearing in a society that want woman to be weak). So, yes! I love working out. I love that I can lift up my mattress when I clean under my bed without the help of anyone. I regulate way better my emotions and anxiety. Everybody should give it a try. The older version of us will thank us. For 2025, I want to get stronger, finish my thesis, enjoy my relationships and developpe my sides hustles more!
amazing leah !! for me what started to inspire me to start moving again... no joke, was uncle iroh working out!! for the revolution!! i realized instead of falling to despair over the world, i needed to nourish my own ability to be compassionate for others and myself. i also needed to nourish my muscles so i can support collective liberation hahaha

i turn 20 this year and i’ve also been contemplating how i want to grow in 2025 and beyond, and one of those things is exercise/movement! going into my 20s feels a little intimidating and i'm not sure what to expect, but i want to build up little habits that will make me feel stronger and more confident in myself. i’m planning to start with yoga and pilates maybe twice a week to ease myself into it! this video is very inspiring and makes going to the gym and working on my body seem less intimidating and scary, thank u for giving a little more confidence to a girl who definitely could use it starting the next era of my life ♡
This is pure beauty. I love it when someone can make something so hard seem actually so enjoyable. You literally covered all my worries that came up, i have no more excuses. Motivation queen.
Haha awww this is the best comment ever!! I feel very motivated to make more videos so you’re definitely a motivation queen too!! Excited for ur movement journey 💪💖

This was so useful, lately movement and building good habits as an adult has been on my mind, your video came at the right time ! In my end, for 2025 I want to focus on my inside. Not just achieving outside things like financial security but really change my mentality on life and as of hobbies/work I want to learn about videography I’m a photographer but I think having those two skills in my pocket could bring a lot of good for others and for me. Stay healthy everyone! Sending love 🤍
thank you leah for keeping on being one of the best human on the internet ! I started moving a little more this last fall after a breakup and I have to say that my rebranding as an "active person" has been a blast so far... Who knew exercise could be enjoyable ?? hope to see many more videos of you being happy in 2025. Cheers to all xxx
hehe such a cutie video!! i also thought going to the gym was intemidating until i realized gym culture is actually so kind and most people are so encouraging!! They're all there to focus on their health and to become stronger, so no one is really judging anyone else as we'd intially assume :')
I started running when I broke up with my bf for my mental health. That was 9 months ago and I now am running a marathon. I don’t put any pressure to be better I just run to enjoy it and have gotten better naturally by finally sticking to something I love! My next step is to try a bit of strength training. 😊love this video x
I reserve this playlist of songs that I LOVE and really pump me up for the treadmill only! That way whenever I think about runs I associate it with jamming out, also just turning on that playlist sets me in the mood. Using music as a motivating factor is super helpful! It makes me want to keep running because I get to jam out to the next song and also decreases the initial friction of getting onto the treadmill :)
One of my main goals this year is to do things even when it scares me (especially when it scares me). I think I need to just got out there and do things instead of rationalizing it in my head. Thank you for this video, I think you've perfectly encapsulated how I feel about excersie my whole life and now I feel more motivated to go out and "find my movement"
no but the way I’m literally starting my workout era today and opened TH-cam to check what exercises should I do and your video appeared! perfect timing. wish me luck on my journey 🥲
I'm so happy seeing you enjoying training, I just started working out seriously since last august and it was the best decision I have ever made, whenever I workout, I prove to myself that I can lift heavy weights to build my strength and it makes me also believe that I can achieve anything I want, because working out is a mental challenge before it is a physical one 🤭
Thanks Leah this was so wholesome and cute. Honestly I really appreciate the small steps mindset, and also the hard days tips. Never heard of costume change, eat the frog, and adjustment tips so I’m keen to try it out!
my baby steps for 2025 has been to drink more water. its so simple and easy for me to follow so far but I can already see improvements in how I feel about myself. I love your videos so much
Lovely video and kudos to you. Movement is my big baby step. I am moving 4x/week and around 30 mins or more. The psyche before working out is the hurdle for me so I liked the musical theatre method. Wearing the clothes, picking out the shoes, filling up my water, and then do the warm-up to gauge where my mind and body is at. Happy New Year, may 2025 be extremely kind and fulfilling to us all.
Leah always coming in with the perfect video at the perfect moment. I just moved to a new city for a 6 month period of time between school sessions for me, and I've been hyping myself up to start exercising more regularly during this time, but then got hit back to back with a cold and now my period starting eheh - but now cuz of this video I'm gonna crack open my new yoga mat that I got for christmas and do some stretching and yoga! Baby steps!
I used to do couples dancing for some years but i didnt feel any progress at some point. Then after a break i tried out a contemporary dance and house dance class and was blown away by all the confidence and muscles i’ve gained in a year. I love it because i get to exercise my body, cardio, build strength in my arms, legs and core without any props, enjoy what i already love doing AND explore my creative-expressive side at the same time - highly recommend ! 🤸🏻♀️
thank you for the great video Leah! i feel like i have also felt the pressure to exercise for aesthetics more than to feel good, particularly to gain muscle mass and with the sort of intimidating/ macho environment in gyms i struggled to start going regularly. however i have since gotten more used to it and have enjoyed doing exercises for the way they make me feel; there is something very satisfying about improving that i have really enjoyed. i hope to continue this in the new year and maybe incorporate some more social active time like you have!
i rarely comment on any videos on yt, but this will be an exception. im so glad i came upon into your video again, and everytime, it’s always feels like a warm hug and goodluck that i needed. im cheering you on this “play more” journey of yours and hopefully, i can commit to finally move my ass too with these baby steps
Ive been learning to enjoy working out more over just punishing my body and I looove working out in the mornings where I can just move around and then feel so good in my body for the rest of the day. Resonate so much w everything you are saying!
I love u so much Leah! I love seeing u happy n thriving it genuinely makes me feel happy n thriving too! For me I rly wanna just iron out my weekly gym routine. I used to go almost everyday while I was back in school but now that I have a full time job I’ve been struggling to find pockets of time to squish work outs into otherwise I rly do enjoy exercise! I’m hopping to go at least twice a week (4x at best!) I love u n ur videos so so much n I hope ur happy always💗💗💗
I looove this, your honest quirky storytelling and how you motivated me in under two minutes to start hitting the gym again ❤💪 I don't wanna lose muscle before I've even had the chance to gain any 😭
I have such a similar journey to you. I started moving to relieve some aches and pains per my physical therapist recommendation. She really encouraged me to join the local gym, and I started with some group classes that felt less intimidating, and then I slowly transition to some of the weight machines and dumbbells. I really view it as movement and trying to move my body in ways that are fun as often as I can I’m also in nursing school and I relate to the realization that we need to build bone density and muscle mass to maintain some independence and mobility as your age. This was a great video Leah I really enjoyed it.
ahh i missed you so much! Exercising it's also a sore thumb for me, but your video motivate me a lot. My main goal for 2025 is (obv) to patch up my uni situation and actually study because i want to learn, not because i have to. But what I promised myself is to go on as many side quests as i can (the more artistic things i do, the more motivated to study science i am)
Trainwell is starting the year strong :D this is at least the 7th video that is sponsored by them that I've seen since Jan 1st. I might be subscribed to too many lifestyle youtubers though xD
Hi Leah I loved this video because I’ve been on the exact same fitness journey recently! I really had to motivate myself to do any kind of movement because the reasons of losing weight or looking different didn’t really resonate with me, and I also found the gym really intimidating. But I recently turned 30 and listened to similar podcasts and realised that I needed to do something to build and maintain muscle. I was also a bit tired of struggling with activities I really enjoyed, like hiking and climbing. So I signed up for a gym and a personal trainer, and have started going there regularly. It’s amazing what a change in your reason for doing something can do to motivate you to stick with something! Enjoying it so far, and feel myself getting stronger too!
I love this video! I'm also trying to get my body into a healthy state with movement. Since I started my job, I've noticed that I've been more sore than usual. A lot of my colleagues who have been working longer than I have book physio and therapeutic massage appointments at least monthly, so I thought I should incorporate some kind of stretching and flexibility into my routine as well as muscle building. I'm fortunate to be working with kids, so I get a lot of movement in. I love how you framed exercise as play to make it a more enjoyable experience!
This year is such an exciting year! I'm finally graduating with my BAS in Dental Hygiene, but I need to study super hard for my board exam and finish a ton of patient requirements in clinic. It's tough but I'll be achieving my dreams and long-term goals so soon! I'm trying to do the same as you, enter into a space of physical, mental, and emotional balance before my board exams and graduation. Wish me luck! Little baby steps everyday. Oh, I'm turning 30, too!
leaaaah this was so good to my tired soul thank you! :') a mindset shift helped me loving working out (i'm not sure if im in love with it though.. maybe more like flirting.. idk) is that i used to see it as a "all or nothing" thing. like if i say i'll do 3-4 times a week and then i don't for 2 weeks i used to feel like i gave up and the ship sailed long ago like i couldn't "actually start". but now i can say that oh i just need a little break that's fine, i'll go back to it.
i watched this video this morning and it got me really excited for the year ahead! my main goal this year is to take care of my self better and to build a healthier relationship with my self :)
Such a cool vidéo!!! It gives me such gentle “I totally wanna do that too vibe”. You are always the best at transferring your energy!!! ❤❤❤ This school year we subscribed to indoor climbing class and canyoning classe in the mountains 🏔️ I am frightened for the mountain part and the water 💧 part but I want to be more at ease in nature! Have a wonderful day Leah !!
I loved this video! ❤ I have Badminton Training 3x a week and sometimes it is really hard to not compare with others. In 2025 I want to concentrate on having fun! Happy New Year's Leah

Thank you for making this video and being so sweet and honest about your journey! It has inspired me so much to start improving my daily movement. God bless you!
i love everything about this video!!! This vid is so timely because this 2025 i am also trying to reframe my mindset on exercise and trying to be more intentional with keeping my body & mind healthy. I love what you said about rephrasing exercise as “movement” or as “play” 🥹 Here’s to more play in 2025 🥰🥰 happy new year Leah
My main goal this year is to invest more into myself. Some initial goals I have been working on: 1) Going to the gym regularly. I used to be much stronger, but, since moving to a new country, the same workout classes aren't available to me anymore. I tried some new ones that were similar to what I used to do, but I have found that they aren't challenging me enough, so the gym it is. 2) Reading more books! I want to be on my phone less, so I am trying to pick up a book or my Kindle instead of my phone when I have downtime. 3) Finding a therapist. I want to change my mentality to be more positive and build better self-esteem. 4) Slowly revamp my wardrobe. I haven't gone shopping in years, and my clothes are literally falling apart. It's time to invest some money and effort into this because I do feel better when I am wearing stuff that is good quality and fits me well. Big word is slowly though. I want to find sustainable pieces that will last me throughout the years. Absolutely no fast fashion.
This video could not have come at a better time. I’ve always avoided and hated “working out” for the same reasons you explain in the intro. After losing my job a couple months ago though I’ve realized how important movement is. Now that I don’t leave the house most days, everything hurts. 😭 I don’t have the budget for a gym membership rn but I’m on day 5 of morning yoga at home and I don’t hate it!! Baby steps 💪
Happy new year! Glad to see another video. I have finished with my lessons and now I am watching you. I can explain how I feel now. I just love watching your videos. This year I want to enter the university and move to the capital. It is the biggest plan for this year. About other I just want to learn some chinise phrases, also improve my yoga skills, work on my eating habits. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, just your life with us. Love you.
I just noticed that you answered me. it is so strange. it is another evening, i have done with my lessons and I do not why but everything seems to me unreal. You know, you live very far from me. And it seems like I'll never meet you, but.. Damn, it's so weird that you noticed me. I see 36K views here. and it's so weird too. just numbers. But it's just a lot of people. I do not know why this is happening to me, it is even more strange. like I've never been answered in the comments. (maybe because I don't write them often)😅
One of my main goals is to be able to look at myself and see what everyone around me sees, which is this beautiful, loving individual who is strong and smart. I want to work through that trauma and find inner peace and happiness and be confident within myself. For fitness, I use a wheelchair, I have a lot of health issues, and just a lot of scary stuff goin on, so I want to be able to get good upper body and core strength so that pushing myself isn't such a terrible struggle around campus. And since I just moved states, I want to make new and amazing friends so that I'm not so lonely.
For this year I actually want to feel good in my body and not care about the way I look so much so your talk in the beginning of the video was pretty helpful for pointing out the toxic trends we have nowadays. I'm also so happy to see new videos coming I remember watching your videos before and they were so comforting and relaxing 💕
My main goal for this year is to move my body in ways that make me feel happy, stronger, and accomplished. I also want to try to connect my inner child with my movements by getting back into dance and using methods of movement that remind me of playing but at the same time using it to gain strength, flexibility, and endurance.
My baby steps for january (as it is the end of the semester in the country where I live) are: 1) eye exercises for 2.5 minutes twice a day; 2) exercises for posture daily; 3) going to bed before 2 AM; 4) reading for at least 15 minutes a day; 5) spending less than 10 minutes a day on Instagram and Twitter/X. Those little steps should help my eyes, back and mental state during this hard period of the year.
your comment just gave me some inspo to include eye exercises as well since my eyes have been drying out due to prolonged screen time (and forgetting to blink) 🙃 thank you!
@tricialwz I'm glad to give you some motivation! My motivation also comes from the internet as I saw a few new for me eye exercises on instagram and decided to reinvent this habit in my life.
I'm so happy to see you upload your videos are always so fun for me to watch!! one of my goals for 2025 is that I want to be able to run 5k so that I can attend mini-marathons with my dad and my little brother who are super into exercise when i go back to china. I've been going through a breakup so i think going first thing in the morning to the gym or somewhere just outside even must be good..!
I really want to knit a sweater vest this year⭐ also I want to try incorporating meditation in my routine:) lovely video! oh and the splits would be fun too!!🌙
Hey Leah! Thanks for posting this, not sure if you’ll read this but my goal this year is to actually create more. Your style has always inspire me and youtube has been my dream for over a decade. And now I’ve been filming videos for over 6 years but haven’t had the courage to commit to editing and posting them. I’m tired of being just a videographer, I want to be a content creator and I will this 2025☺️
Hey Leah! Your finals vlog was so engaging to watch! As a video editor, I noticed the emotional journey you captured - from the forensic anthropology stress to that sweet ice cream celebration. Would love to help edit your future content if you're ever looking to collaborate! Congrats on finishing finals and enjoy your break! 🎓✨

Baby steps!
You got this! Listen to your body and I hope that you feel better soon 🙂↕️
@@leahsfieldnotes Thank you !! :D
This video made me feel safe, seen and heard. Ugh I loved this, thank you Leah ❤
Also ugh❤❤❤ this was sooo motivating
Your video and determination encourged me. I’ll support everyone’s beginning❤
Let’s go!! 💪💕 you’re so sweet
thank you for the great video Leah! i feel like i have also felt the pressure to exercise for aesthetics more than to feel good, particularly to gain muscle mass and with the sort of intimidating/ macho environment in gyms i struggled to start going regularly. however i have since gotten more used to it and have enjoyed doing exercises for the way they make me feel; there is something very satisfying about improving that i have really enjoyed. i hope to continue this in the new year and maybe incorporate some more social active time like you have!
Weeeee that’s so awesome!! Lemme know what social movement u come up with :D
@@leahsfieldnotes will do !
youre always my fav influencer Leahhh!!! Love u smm
i rarely comment on any videos on yt, but this will be an exception. im so glad i came upon into your video again, and everytime, it’s always feels like a warm hug and goodluck that i needed. im cheering you on this “play more” journey of yours and hopefully, i can commit to finally move my ass too with these baby steps
Awww well thank u for commenting! I appreciate the encouragement 🤗 you got this! Any baby step!
Ive been learning to enjoy working out more over just punishing my body and I looove working out in the mornings where I can just move around and then feel so good in my body for the rest of the day. Resonate so much w everything you are saying!
missed you so much here leah…i have been looking for reasons to start the gym this year and what perfect timing for your video!
Awww thank u ☺️ you’re so sweet! I think 2x a week is a great place to start u got this ❤️ 💪
This is the video i needed to watch!!!!!!! Thank you Leah. Also that soft intro voiceover.....🥹💝💓
This year I am focusing on deep diving into my hobbies and interests more
I looove this, your honest quirky storytelling and how you motivated me in under two minutes to start hitting the gym again ❤💪 I don't wanna lose muscle before I've even had the chance to gain any 😭
I have such a similar journey to you.
But what I promised myself is to go on as many side quests as i can (the more artistic things i do, the more motivated to study science i am)
im really glad i found your channel. you give me so much inrspiration mannn like no cap. wishing you all the best🏃♀🏃♀🍀🍀
my goal is pretty simple because i just had started, morning yoga everyday, treadmill and very light resistance training at home alternately every day
I love the vibe in this video and approach to exercise so much!! I
Trainwell is starting the year strong :D this is at least the 7th video that is sponsored by them that I've seen since Jan 1st.
Woohooo that is so awesome!!!!! Rooting for u and our new fitness arc 🤗💗
We are so glad you love working with Jill! We love to see how much confidence you have gained! 🤩Thanks for sharing trainwell.
this felt like a sign bc i just decided to start exercising again just to fix my sleeping schedule
3 minutes in and this is already way more realistic and helpful than any other fitness vid I've seen 😭
AH I ALWAYS LOVE YOUR ENERGY
i watched this video this morning and it got me really excited for the year ahead! my main goal this year is to take care of my self better and to build a healthier relationship with my self :)
Awww I love that! You got this! 💪💖
Such a cool vidéo!!!
It gives me such gentle “I totally wanna do that too vibe”. You are always the best at transferring your energy!!! ❤❤❤
This school year we subscribed to indoor climbing class and canyoning classe in the mountains 🏔️ I am frightened for the mountain part and the water 💧 part but I want to be more at ease in nature!
Have a wonderful day Leah !!
1st time watcher - and now a new sub!
Thanks for the tips!
I’m so glad u found it helpful! ❤️
Absolutely love seeing humans go unvegan and improving their health hehehehehe so happy to see you living your best Leahhhhh
I loved this video! ❤ I have Badminton Training 3x a week and sometimes it is really hard to not compare with others. In 2025 I want to concentrate on having fun! Happy New Year's Leah
Omg that sounds so fun!! You’re doing it right 🙂↕️
relatively new subscriber here ; just wanted to compliment you on the gentle / fun , light - hearted vibes .... watching you(r videos) feels comfortable , safe , inspiring ! ... cheers & much love from california .
So happy that climbing became part of your loving-fitness journey! It's been a bit part of making exercise feel fun and ability-oriented for me too
Thank you for making this video and being so sweet and honest about your journey!
THE ANGEL'S BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!! so happy to see that u've been taking care of yourself so weeell lately 💗
Awwwwww thank u love 💕❤️💘
This video could not have come at a better time. I’ve always avoided and hated “working out” for the same reasons you explain in the intro. After losing my job a couple months ago though I’ve realized how important movement is. Now that I don’t leave the house most days, everything hurts. 😭 I don’t have the budget for a gym membership rn but I’m on day 5 of morning yoga at home and I don’t hate it!! Baby steps 💪
Leah this is so good for you! I am so proud of you. X
Love you.
Awww you've got this, good luck with everything! 🙌💝
Oh Leah, this was such a beautiful video! thank you for that
One of my main goals is to be able to look at myself and see what everyone around me sees, which is this beautiful, loving individual who is strong and smart. And since I just moved states, I want to make new and amazing friends so that I'm not so lonely.
missed you leah!!! yayy
MORE VIDEO FROM YOU THIS 2025 PLEASE, LOVE YOU GIRL 🎀💓
Love it!...as usual. Will apply this technique to my master's application process
wait, I needed this motivation so much.
Yayyyyy You got this!! 💫
For this year I actually want to feel good in my body and not care about the way I look so much so your talk in the beginning of the video was pretty helpful for pointing out the toxic trends we have nowadays. I'm also so happy to see new videos coming I remember watching your videos before and they were so comforting and relaxing 💕
Aww yayyy I’m so glad to be of help! Take better care of my body has really helped w that mindset transition 🙂↕️ u got this!!!
My main goal for this year is to move my body in ways that make me feel happy, stronger, and accomplished. I also want to try to connect my inner child with my movements by getting back into dance and using methods of movement that remind me of playing but at the same time using it to gain strength, flexibility, and endurance.
this is the exact movement motivation i needed today !!! thank you !!!
I needed this video more than I realized
i absolutely needed to see this
lol u got this bb 💝🌼
SHE FINALLY POSTED ON TH-cam ~ YAY
I really hope you post more often on TH-cam. Maybe with just regular vlogs and with a sprinkle in of sponsor videos like this...
More vlogs coming in the new year 🤗
My baby steps for january (as it is the end of the semester in the country where I live) are: 1) eye exercises for 2.5 minutes twice a day; 2) exercises for posture daily; 3) going to bed before 2 AM; 4) reading for at least 15 minutes a day; 5) spending less than 10 minutes a day on Instagram and Twitter/X.
My motivation also comes from the internet as I saw a few new for me eye exercises on instagram and decided to reinvent this habit in my life.
love your honesty!
Happy New Year Leah''🌷 it’s so good to see you back and have been waiting for your updates only ,sending lots of love '💗,
I'm so happy to see you upload your videos are always so fun for me to watch!! one of my goals for 2025 is that I want to be able to run 5k so that I can attend mini-marathons with my dad and my little brother who are super into exercise when i go back to china. YESSS I NEEDED A VIDEO FROM YOU
Hey Leah! Thanks for posting this, not sure if you’ll read this but my goal this year is to actually create more. Your style has always inspire me and youtube has been my dream for over a decade. And now I’ve been filming videos for over 6 years but haven’t had the courage to commit to editing and posting them. I’m tired of being just a videographer, I want to be a content creator and I will this 2025☺️
Whoa I'm so excited for you 💖✨You got this!!!
I have been sick for literally weeks and I cannot wait to get back to climbing and yoga 😭💗
