I love how delicately Phil plays. He coaxes the music out. When either of you play you really illustrate the nuances (tonal sonorities we loudspeaker builders call it) of a well designed instrument. 😎
No they are not. I'm not wholely surprised as numbering them commits Flight to only making a few when in fact the popularity of them has been unprecedented. I agree with you though, it all adds texture
Hi Alex, what can I say ,simply stunning,as blue is my favourite colour it has to be the QM in this vid,but sadly a bit out of my reach ATM.Thanks Alex, why do you do it ?,this is not good for my bank balance 😁😎 Must stop watching this channel HA HA Best wishes, Alan
Hi Alex thank you for this video. Could you please recommend me what kind of strings would you put on this beautiful instrument? Can I put a low G on it? If yes, from which strings so i would have the best sound? Thands and have a great week👍🌸
Hi Thomas, I find wound strings for the Low G work best with both Mango and Maple so it would be worth pairing up some slightly tighter Worth/Romero strings with a wound Low G. I personally think I would try a set of Romero UT-2 strings first.
@@SouthernUkuleleStore oh thanks heaps, do you have this strings snd could you send me 2 packs to switzerland? I dont think i get them here. I would prepay by paypal? Tommy Fessel, Schulweg 26, CH-5722 Graenichen, Switzerland Would need your mail than🌸😜best regards Tommy
Yes you can through our website but we have just this week run out of the UT2 strings. Not to worry, if you email my colleagues at alex@ukulele.co.uk (I'm on holiday) they can recommend an alternative.
I honestly have so many it's daunting. I personally love Kanile'a and KoAloha Tenors and actually ordered myself one of these Flight Maple Fade ukes because the workmanship for the price is noteworthy to me. My other Tenor uke is a Sumi Kobo Koa Tenor... you can check out my ukes more indepth at @ukeswithalex
Consider yourself lucky being able to even make this video. These ukes seem to just _fly_ off the shelves...
... I'll get me coat.
If the best uke store in the UK only had 2, I feel sad for the rest

I agree. I genuinely dont think Phil knows how good he could be if he wanted to be.
Never thought I'd say it about a coloured uke, but those are beautiful! Thanks, Alex :)
A really beautiful instrument. Wow!
I love Flight Ukuleles! I just bought the Sophia Soundwave a few weeks ago.
Gorgeous!
WowAbsolutely stunning
Are they numbered Alex? I'd of thought it being Flights first four figure sum uke and it's anniversary a official 10 Yr certificate would be great

Wow!
Happy 10th anniversary flight ;) I also dreamed of having a Victoria :) great video as always uncle Alex :)

I like the sound and looks of this Ukulele
hot water! Gorgeous ukes. I wonder though, why not chase for instance that mango dragon?
It was purely because we have so many established mango instruments already.
@@SouthernUkuleleStore true. Funny that maple is so rare in uke country. I guess them bowed strings got a hold of most of it....

Cool, but impossible to get here now in the states...
That blue one is perfection. I love all that abalone too.
The blue fade is on my fantasy Uke list 😍😍😍 probs is it's way too expensive for my skill level!! 🤪🤣😵
not interested in either blue uke, but the cocobolo dragon is to die for! out of my price range anyway.
These are really nice. Given that they’re maple, is there a specific pickup would you recommend for them?
Just go with a MiSi and you can't go wrong. Its the only pickup that doesn't colour the natural shape and structure of the acoustic sound.
