    Here’s the question I want people to ask these constitutional professors: why should we bother with new constitutional amendments if a corrupt Supreme Court can just ignore them for 100yrs like the 14th and 15th? Lessing also basically concedes the point early in the talk. If the democratically minded people are not in power, no law can overcome that.
