Your grandparents are simply adorable, so polite, and so thoughtful. I really enjoyed the little facts and historical tidbits on the side as well as the brief grocery store exploration. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season.
I didn't know you are from Seattle!!! I grew up there, but have lived in San Fancisco for the last 3 years. I love seeing familiar places from back home in vlogs. Love your channel Angel!
Oh! Thanks so much Angel! I'm making the Almond Milk Tea today! In fact, I made the Thai Iced Tea yesterday. It was sooo delicious, I almost wept right into my boba. Actually, I've made about 10 of your recipes (the soy eggs were the best I've ever eaten) but every dish I've made of yours was utterly sublime. Thanks so much for sharing your awesome recipes and that little bit of your life with us:)
You are so cute Angel! Your grandparents are adorable and I like Dragon too! Please show little dragon to us every time when you drive! I would like to see him more!
Love Seattle! !! Def going to have to hit up Chinatown next time I'm there!! Tho i live in the san Gabriel valley in so cal, sooo lol loved the follow me around vid!! Ur grandparents are too cute!
Thumbs up in hopes of the translation from your grandfather so I don't have to ask my parents what he's saying. Thanks for also providing the Taiwanese name for zongzi. Ma zha, gonna remember that.
Oasis is my favorite bubble tea place. I saw your channel when trying to re-create bubble tea and cooking boba, and i didn't know you too are in Seattle. Haha. I'm actually trying to find a healthier non dairy creamer to use have not found it yet. Like your food recipes!
I have to say I love your videos! I've never been to that store before I usually go to the 99 ranch market in Edmonds, it's a lot closer to me. :) Could you film a tutorial on how to make fan tuans? I'm not sure if I spelled that right. Those are my absolute favorite!!
Like you, I just love bubble tea. Wishing we had an Oasis Tea Zone in NJ. It looks amazing! So, what flavor were you drinking? The Uwagimaya Market looks wonderful too. If I lived anywhere near there, I'd definitely be spending way too much money. And, I really loved that pink handbag! Did you buy it locally?
Cheryl S. I got Almond Flavored Milk Tea with Boba. :) (I made a recipe video on that a while back) The pink purse was actually a souvenir from my trip to Japan last year.
My mom and sister love Machang! They like eating it with ketchup 😄 i, on the other hand, do not eat machang but i looove milk tea! What bubble tea flavor did you get?
Yes, even for a local grocery store brand. The meat is about average $5-16. (the cheapest meat is $5) I live in the midwest states, so there isn't a lot of asian market nearby. Of course, most american grocery stores don't have all ingredients for a asian homecook meal. It's hard! That's why when I watch your videos, I be thinking "oh I can make that, but wait I'm missing shiitake mushroom or low-sodium soysauce!" :(
+король I think the only things they don't like are China's "one China" policy, and communist government. They've held onto their culture, perhaps even better than China. They even kept traditional Chinese script, whereas, mainland China switched to a simplified version. Most of their traditions celebrations and history are shared. However, Taiwan has a little bit of Japanese influence, due to a brief occupation from 1895 and 1945. It's an interesting place.

Why do taiwanese still celebrate dragon boat festival, i thought the taiwanese don't like anything that is originated from china.
