Everyone knew it was crap, but they also knew the price tag was cheap and the parts were cheaper. Now they produce crap that's way overpriced. So not only do people know that dodge isn't reliable but now they sell them the same price as other competitors who produce way better more reliable vehicles

Stellantis thinks that vehicles starting at $20,000 will hurt their profits and are catering to more wealthier clients so that could be a reason why the Renegade and Cherokee (not Grand Cherokee) are getting the axe. They believe people can pay more than $35,000 for their vehicles and that belief is a reason they’re still sitting in dealership lots.
I had a 2024 hornet r/t as a rental for 2 weeks. Not considering price or suggested reliability, its a great car. It handles well, its got more than enough pep, and the interior IMO is pretty sweet. HOWEVER, no one is going to the dodge dealership looking to spend 45K on a small compact SUV. I was thinking the car was 32-34k, my jaw dropped when I found out the starting price for an RT is 42k.
For $49,325 spec with the options i would want. I could get a loaded Challenger R/T. With the Shaker PKG. Or a base Scat Pack for less. Plus their so, so reliability.

I drove a GT PLUS AWD. Not hybrid. I liked it! Comfortable seats front and back. Disliked the plastic wheel arch trim that turns ugly white in sun or must be armor-alled and attracts dust. Traction control light or something was on during test drive. Two were dead batteries. They STILL charged nitrogen, two year appearance package, and after rebates and added stuff it was seemingly 42k. Nice vehicle. I really liked it. Reliability and depreciation in question. Carmax has a 23 for 26k so you know it is worth half new retail at most on trade. Not sure throwing 20k away driving off the lot is NOT appealing no matter how appealing the car is.

Those views are really nice just like the mountains I use to go up Utah to visit and help out a friend but this was like almost 10 years ago, no I'm unsure cause I'm no longer a member of the LDS mormon church anymore it will feel awkward going up there cause there's a lot of members who are part of that Mormon church, anyways great review seems like a nice car I say any new car is good just as long its gets you to where you going and back.

The Italian influenced Dodge Hornet GT for me is relatively-speaking a well engineered CUV! The auto market is currently in a tail spend & the price of the Hornet is a little pricey! The Hornet will save Dodge eventually!

My son has the GT with Track Pack, no hybrid, loves it. We have the Compass 2.0T Love it. Lots of detractors here havent seen or been in a Hornet. Amazing. Experts. Plug in Hybrids you can keep. but gas wise, solid. For whatever reason, Stellantis doesnt bring a lot of these in from Italy. IDK why. Unless that changes, will never be a big seller.
They take the money and still hate Dodge. The Chrysler building is on sale. They build all cars in Europe soon. And of course Mexico. Maybe a french Chrysler/Opel/Peugeot soon?
