Thank you, I nailed this. Took me a couple of attempts but then I figured out your way of counting your stitches & dbl crochets & followed your instructions to the tee. Excellent result, now I'm heading to your other video to start the cardigan. I have already completed the baby hat & am so excited to see the complete set....thank you so much! You are an excellent tutor, & I'll say it again like I did in your other video...THE BEST TUTOR & TUTORIALS I HAVE COME ACROSS THUS FAR!!! 🤘👍😍😊
can you please hep me understand the counting of stitches because I can't work it out for the life of Me. Should it be 3 +6 +10 +12 +10+6 chains t start with??
I have been following you for a while now. You are by far one of the easiest to follow here. I have made several pieces including this cardigan and the matching blanket following your instructions. Please keep up the good work. What drives me crazy are the rude comments. If you don’t like what you see here you can always move on to another instructor.
I love this video...Keep forgetting to write it down but my go to video for making a yoke! Have used it for a romper and 2 different cardigans. Your videos are wonderful ❤
I agree … once you get the knack of how her counts goes nod her tricks with the stitches, the work turns out lovely. Thanks for the beautiful patterns!
I love your work, you are a great teacher, really enjoyed the way you explained , would really enjoy if you could show how to do a v neck yoke. Look forward to seeing more from you, thank you
Thank you SO much for sharing your wonderful skills! I have not done crocheting for years and am loving getting back into it as we await a grandbaby! You are SO kind and are a very good teacher!
Just started this can't wait to see the end result. Thanks so much for sharing your amazing work as always. You are amazing at your craft from Ireland 🇮🇪
I am using a different yarn that calls for a 5mm hook. Would you be able to tell me the length of your starting chain so I can adjust mine or the conversion stitches (multiples of…)?
Hi Madam I am really impressed with you and your beautiful work.I have not crocheted in 50years and stared now that I have retired.your method of teaching is excellent and I have managed to crochet like an expert although I have made mistakes but I have made the blanket and baby overhaul however I like to bring to your attention the difference in the wool we do have the same brand you are using in my country I would appreciate it if you can give us the measurements in centimetres for projects eg. Sizes across from shoulder length from shoulder to waist or hem etc so we can adjust the no rows for required size hope you understand what I am requesting thank you soo much for sharing your knowledge May you be blessed
I wish you could give the measurements in inches or cms of the finished yoke in all the sizes. This will be of great help. Because everyone has a different hand. I mean some crochet tighter than others or use different thickness of yarn. The measurements would be very helpful in that case.
For the blanket, I mean. I used a simple crochet pattern to make the triangle. So now the blanket is a cape, that can be put like an envelope around the baby with beautiful safety pins, and the triangle cap goes on the head, of course. Well, I hope you all understand what I mean. The fantasy stitch of the blanket goes in a diagonal, that way.
Wow !
Its gaugious. I got a lot of 4 ply baby wool. If i use the 4 ply wool and a 3.5 crochet needle. Can i use the same steasches or must i use a 4 mm needle. Wouldnt the beedle too thick for the wool. Please let me know. I got a lot of baby wool i knot for a church and they gove it to orphinidge children and poor families.
Try with different sizes. I hope you will like it thanks th-cam.com/play/PLpnmCEk_27zYCDrEgDM0YwC7ZUQzAhOiO.html&si=_6sw7otiWor5_IFL th-cam.com/video/z2P_HylDBtE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UvzZCZr-goi7ChaP
I found that too on the rows she started a row 1 ch 1dc in space then 2 dc in same stitch then changed it to 1dc instead of the 2dc I counted where my stitches should go before I did it knew I followed previous row correct but the next row didn't so after I carried on with the 2dc in same stitch it made the stitches count correct then hope u understand what I'm trying to explain I came to comments to see if anyone had the same problem 😀 as me xx
I had to do the same thing. I am sure she did the same thing she didnt put it in the video. There is no way she ended up with 42 after DC in 4th chain from hook.
Does anyone know what the measurement should be? Like how long should the 6,10,12,10,6 dc sections each be? I think mine is too small. I used 4 weight yarn & 5mm hook
Hello, it looks nice, but I have a problem with row 6, in row 1,2,3,4 and 5 you crochet two double crochet in one stich at the end of the row, but in row 6 you do not..a little bit confusing.. How many double crochet do we need at the end of row 6. 🌷
Thank you for this tutorial. I'm new to your channel. You helped me make my first yoke! 😁 I'm going to make one of your baby cardigans. I subscribed today!

You are so welcome!
I still keep winding up with ,44 sets. 6 plus 6 plus 12 back and 10 sts each sleeve. And into 4th st from hook to begin I wind up 2 sts short????
I found that too on the rows she started a row 1 ch 1dc in space then 2 dc in same stitch then changed it to 1dc instead of the 2dc I counted where my stitches should go before I did it knew I followed previous row correct but the next row didn't so after I carried on with the 2dc in same stitch it made the stitches count correct then hope u understand what I'm trying to explain I came to comments to see if anyone had the same problem 😀 as me xx
Can anyone tell me where I can get the yarn she uses in this video
Love your skills so easy to follow Is there a pattern for the bottom half please xx
I had to make 46 chains because 42 did not work, it left me with 2 chains to make 6 double crochets which clearly wasn’t long enough
Same here, chains did not have enough at the end.
I had to do the same thing. I am sure she did the same thing she didnt put it in the video. There is no way she ended up with 42 after DC in 4th chain from hook.
Same here I ended up with less chains at the end
42 worked for me
@@melanienorth3596
6dc+corn+10dc+corn+12dc+corn+10dc+corn+6dc = 50 chains, NOT 42

but in row 6 you do not..a little bit confusing..
