I read the volume recently and I remember perfectly that the phantom that possessed Masahiko Amari had an existence value of 1 million, not 10 million, so I suppose that in the translation you read they must have added an extra zero.
@@lighteningball Then, I don't know why the translation I read said it was 1 million, and literally, I read it just 2 weeks ago. Even so, the only thing I can think of as to why he has 10 million is that since he is a phantom, he developed more magicules than the fallen angels; I say this because, while Pico and Gracia have about 2 million each (if I remember correctly), Zalario has 20 million and Obera had a little less than him. But as you say, it still doesn't make much sense, if not any. Or it could simply be a mistake on the part of the author, of course.
Though it may sound redundant from last week, amazing narration LB, and hats off to the author for building such an interesting story along with the amazing world building, can't wait for next week's chapter, till then keep it rockin' LB!
I get the feeling this author wished to make this an entire side story of itself. I wonder if they'll go that route in the anime, maybe do it across a several episode long OVA or something like that. Or a movie. But honestly... so rarely have anime movies been good in my life that I hope for the OVA. So the point kept coming up that this world was super low in magicules. But Velgrynd is right there. What's stopping her from using her own to develop several people's abilities? I know she's (correctly imo) holding the opinion that if she just saves them outright, they wont grow - but it seems like she could go the Rimuru route and use HER magicules to empower people or produce more weapon. The humans would still have to use those powers and weapons themselves.
Yeah. We saw how even after so many generations no one was able to bring out even more then 1% power of all of the weapons that she granted them. (Velgrind said it herself) .Which indicating how much inferior they are. So her thought of making them grow is understandable since Velgrind after loosing against Rimuru started changing her perspective. This side story is kind of goes over Velgrinds character development
Yeah, great summary, the side story explains why was Velgrynd so kind to Rimuru in the later parts of the story, and Hazy style, and tatsuya’s Japan, and some world setting, one chapter actually did a loooot
@mdhamim7552 But why can't she use her own powers to empower these humans? Or why wouldn't she? It doesn't contradict her desire to have them grow, it helps them.
I have to be honest that these side stories are not that interesting and pull too far from the main storyline. When a god is present and can finish off an evil, then why not ask for help? Why does it need to be just humans to overcome? Throughout many stories in religions around the world, the gods get involved all the time for good or bad. Again, these stories are just not online with what has come before.
You can easily tell from the view counts on these videos that they’re not particularly appealing to most people. However, for me, I feel the need to complete this section-at the very least, it’s worth giving the audience a chance to decide for themselves whether it’s good or bad, haha.😝😝 and well, human pride maybe, yet it was nonsense
On the contrary it aligns exactly with who Velgryn is at this point in the story. Her interaction with Rimiru changed her perspective and outlook on life
I think you just simply didn't understand the POV and the very character... A story always should depends on the characteristics and perspective of that individual over which that storyline is aligning. Your stated storyline doesn't matches with Velgrinds character. So there was no need to follow that types of storyline which you stated. I don't think I will be explaining you Velgrinds in-depth character since it's going to be very long and waste of my time. So I simply suggest you to re-read volume 15 and this chapter 2 of volume 17.
@mdhamim7552 let me counter if I may. Imagine you pay to go see a movie. For giggles, we say Dune 3. How would you take it if you got a two hour story about how a powerful side character got a good size of the run time but had no effect on the main story or pushed the plot forward? Would you be angry or walk out? This is the same thing. We already know the new hero with Rudra's(??? I'm not sure of the spelling) is alive in the Tensura main world. The gathering of fragments is the author trying to buy time to come up with an ending. Filler, if I may say openly. My question is, how does this change what is already established in the main storyline? What value does it add? I personally feel the author got caught up in the power creep and time paradox most writers try to avoid. How do you write a story about a god that can make a universe for funsies? What does the next fight look like? How can there be any stakes or consequences? That being said, I feel that this is a classic bait and switch, a "don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain" moment. This arc is, in fact, pointless and inconsequential to the overall story and is not very appealing to those of us who have not done a dive into the ip. I'll admit I'd be just as dogged if some rando came into a LotR, Dune, or GoT forum and pointed out surface level plotholes and issues that we as fans tend to give a pass to. But it is a true from a noobs perspective that this arc is a tad bit boring and unworthy of the story told over all thus far.
Top tier novel, the stories from Tensura never fail to excite me

Well, I checked again, original Japanese version and also slime reader, and all 10 million. Which totally didn’t make any sense😑😑😑

can't wait for this to become a movie!

This story is second only to Lakeshore Dyed Scarlet for me. Both go into deep detail of the characters involved and help flush them out tremendously.
