    You need to compile all your works into a book and I'd buy it for sure!

      Already done! 🙂 Not one book, but a few smaller ones. I sell them on Amazon as paperbacks and Kindle. See the links in the descriptions of most videos.

    These are clear and excellent instructions! I appreciate that you did all the research and experimentation with the different materials, i.e. glue, white sugar and ended up with cornstarch as the better choice.
    Your making all the different shapes for molding items is just wonderful. I can't thank you enough for this tutorial,
    what a help it is. Thank you again!!

      Thank you! I usually make just enough boiled starch to use right away; it doesn’t store well, and it is easy to make a fresh batch.

    Wow, you have some amazing crocheted items... especially the globes! That is very cool how you make those!👍♥️
    I stumbled upon your video while researching what needs to be done with my Crochet Bookmarks to finish them off. I'm guessing I just need to press them with a steam iron since they're made with Red Heart Fashion 3 Crochet Thread (Mercerized Cotton). I will take a look to see what other valuable info you have to share. Thanks so much for this info! 👍😊

    Grazie per questo video e molto utile.. spiegazione perfetta ..vedo video che usano la colla vinilica ma forse viene troppo duro il lavoro ????? Voglio provare con la farina di mais..ho fatto un tuo Angelo quello piatto e venuto bellissimo né farò altri per regalo ad amici e parenti grazie per il tuo impegno di❤❤❤

    Hello, thank you for your video. I would also like to ask if you could please specify the type of yarn / fabric that you use for your designs. I am needing to replicate a garland from overseas, but finding it very hard to find the right crochet material. Your assistance would be very much appreciated, Thank you.

    Hello, thank you for this very instructive video! :) Can you tell me please how long does it take on avarage for the pieces to dry? Can the water + corn starch solution be kept in a jar for using it later on or it has to be prepared fresh each time? I would greatly appreciate your answer. Greetings!

    • @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish
      @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! It takes about 24 hours for pieces to completely dry. The starch solution becomes jello-like quite fast, so it needs to be freshly made. Good luck with your crochet projects! 🙂

    • @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish
      @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it should. I have starched some angels made with cotton thread and having acrylic trim, and it worked just fine.

    This is by far the best way of stiffening crochet items. I’ve tried spray stiffener and they don’t work .

    Could you do a video on starching 2D angel

    • @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish
      @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s really easy - you just stretch it as well as you can and use non-rusting pins on the sides to keep that shape. If you don’t use pins, just stretch it from time to time as it is drying. I do it on an ironing board, but a piece of cardboard covered with cotton cloth will work, too. Iron it through cotton cloth when it is dry. Hope it helps 🙂

    • @crochetaroundtheglobeinenglish

      @@aboutmd2023 Yes, but you need to use less starch. You probably don’t want the collar to be too stiff.
