Ellmau (Austria) ski holiday

Highlights of our week skiing staying in the Sporthotel Ellmau right beside the slopes of the vast Skiwelt ski area. We chose this hotel in Ellmau as it was right beside the nursery slopes for the ski school, one of our party was a beginner, but was within easy access to the main ski areas including the Scheffau bowl. The video includes the 1970 Ellmau funicular railway which is to be replaced in 2015 by a €23million gondola project. It also shows some of the mountain restaurants such as Asberg Sonnenalm (Going) and Kirchbichl (Ellmau), aprés ski bars such as Fabels (with Jager Bomb), Route 66, Cantina Bar Mexican, the Moonlight Bar (Söll) and Ellmauer Alm, the weekly Ellmau ski show and how to make snow angels.
