  • In this episode of Political Spar, Alex Phillips is joined by political commentator Matthew Torbitt and Conservative commentator Benedict Spence.
    On the topic of Sue Gray and Labour, Matthew says "there is a concerted power struggle to push Sue Gray out."
    Benedict disagrees, saying Keir Starmer "knew exactly who he was appointing."
    The pair also discuss the Prime Minister accepting gifts and donations, Netherlands becoming the first EU country to opt out of migration rules, plus more headlines making the rounds.

    There is something fundamentally fatally flawed about our electoral system.
    How can it be correct that we have this terribly incompetent and deeply unpopular PM and government when only 9 million voted for them.
    We need proportional representation and an urgent referendum on whether or not the electorate has confidence in this government.
    They have no moral mandate to govern.

    • @avryllsixtus3429
      @avryllsixtus3429 7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yes proportional representation is the only way minority parties with can get into power..in NZ Nigel Farage would be Prime Minister with the Reform voting percentages.....if based on Mp's in each party elected on a minority vote...people end up not voting...MPs in each party should get into government based on the proportion of the vote that party got across Great Britain not just individual constituencies which may have a smaller or larger voting base as all areas differ in population numbers...

    Stamer can’t define a woman, although his wife is presumably one of the ‘original’ type of ‘woman’, however, he most definitely isn’t a ‘man’. Not sure he’s even from this planet.

    The Tories never pretended to be anything other than they are - Starmer and his workmates have turned out to be fake and two faced and no better if not worse than those they spent so much time ripping to shreds
