*I had one of these before and it lasted many years and I used it a lot. It blends **MyBest.Kitchen** chops ,grates. Does most anything you would want to use it for. A lot of bang for your buck. A litlle loud however it so fast it is not bothersome.*

Amazing story, never knew about this naughty work by Vitamix. Shame on you Vitamix for stealing other people's design and hard work. Tom sadly there are copy cats all over the place, TH-cam is pack loaded with them.

I was on the fence about the two brands. My cousin bought a Vitamix and I used it multiple times a day for a month. Went with Blendtec and couldn't be happier.

I own both. Both blend well but the Vitamix is a lot sturdier and overall better build. I only use the Blentec as a secondary when I have to make large quantities.

I've never used a Blendtec, but I just bought a Vitamix. I've had the thing for only 3 days but I've made hot soup, nut butter, ice cream, salsa, juices, almond milk, hot chocolate syrup, and the silkiest and most amazing smoothies I've ever tasted ... all from scratch. It was tough to part with $500+, but in the end I decided to go with the company that invented blenders 80+ years ago and still sells hundreds of thousands of commercial grade machines costing over $3,000 to restaurants, bars and coffee joints all over the world that stake their businesses and reputations on professional grade outputs. Even the Culinary Institute of America uses Vitamix. I'd say I made the right choice.

Well, it's pretty darned easy and quick to do them. You could do all of that in one day easily.

It's quite a load easier to do the things he/she said in a blender. Plus, if you got a new powerful blender, why not take advantage of it and use it to the max (and do good tasting things)? Sure, after a bit, you'll cook other non-blender things, but in the first few days, you just have the urge to use the new thing a lot.

Let's see, smoothies? 2 minutes (not to blend, but to taste, find new items, change proportions, etc...). hot chocolate syrup? not sure what exactly that is, but I'm assuming it's chocolate with sugar, maybe another syrup (or some kind of thing to make it a syrup), and milk or something? Let's be generous, and say 10 minutes. Almond milk? I'd say 10 minutes max. Juices? 2-3 minutes. Salsa? Depends... I think 30 minutes is reasonable (inc. preparing everything and all). Ice cream? I made some in about 5 minutes. Nut butter? 10 minutes or so (did that once... took me longer because I had to find the nuts -_-). Hot soup? 40-50 minutes (preparing and cooking are the main factors).
Adding them all, it's ~120 minutes. 120 minutes can be easily filled up watching TV one night.
To do ~120 minutes worth of preparing, blending, cooking, etc... in 3 days? Trivial.

Have you tried to clean a Vitamix? The longest time it ever took me to clean it was about one minute (after using it). Sure, if you leave it for a while, it can take up to about 5 minutes. But if you clean it after you use it, it's ~20-30 seconds.
I have a Vitamix (obviously), and I love it. I won't discriminate blendtec, it's probably great too. But just because something else is great, it doesn't mean that Vitamix can't be either.
Don't discriminate based on a blender =P

And "hot chocolate syrup" is a concoction I came up with after reading the crap ingredients in other chocolate "syrups" on the market. It's just dark chocolate bars (I go with 88% Endangered Species) and half and half in the Vitamix on high for about 4 minutes. I drizzle it over ice cream or pour it in coffee. YUM!

I have never used a Blendtec, because I have just had my Vitamix, and I blend frozens all the time and never had an issue.

I had my vitamix for 3 months havent used the tamper except for making nut butters something the blendtec sucks at

If you have to make a new jar just to blend nuts means that your first jar sucked. Vitamix doesnt have to make a new jar, its jar is good enough to do everything.

That's funny! You should look into that. Did you watch this video? Vitamix copied the blender jar and were sued successfully. It's the tamper that helps the nut butter not the jar, try making the nut butter without the tamper.
Vitamix is a good product but I've used both a lot and blendtec for 95% of things beats the vitamix.

I think he wanted a answer like this "It's made of a rare titanium alloy, found only deep inside the Earths crust, finely crafted using a saw forged out of gold found on the moon" something like that.
That's beside the point. "Militant Vegan" was trying to say that the Blendtec can't be filled very much, but that video (among several other videos here on YT) proves that the Blendtec can be filled to its max capacity and still blend effectively.
And more than 1/3 of that was *frozen* (whole) bananas and strawberries. Those ingredients that are typically tough for cheap blenders to blend. Also, kale is a tough green ingredient, which again, a cheap blender cannot blend very well.

Companies only attack the best. When did Vitamix ever say anything negative about one of their competitors? The tamper is only needed when processing nut butters or ice cream. You normally dont need it when making a smoothie with the Vitamix.

I love my blendtec, thanks Tom. I feature it on my channel in my videos and it's awesome! It helps me to make healthy foods, beverages and share my passion with others. Great product! The vitamix requires a tamper which is just ridiculous, standing around tamping, why? Too many advantages of the blendtec over vitamix to list.

It's up to you because you are the one to use it and live with it so it's your decision. Personally I did my own research, my background is as a chef and health professional, and I chose a blendtec for numerous reasons.
I think both are good products and will survive for years. I am more than happy and love my blendtec, it is awesome, great feeling pushing the button and that's it, just watch it go! As for the result I've found the blendtec produces everything better except for nut butters which can do on a blendtec with a spatula or if you buy the twister jar then it's the best!

I actually prefer vitamix over blendtec.. It works way better. Granted, I'm a chef, and vitamix is what the pros use, but it wouldn't surprise me if some chefs used blendtec.

No, that 36 oz line on the Blendtec WildSide jar is it's max capacity for LIQUID. As for solids, you can fill it to the very top (90 oz capacity). Just TH-cam any Blendtec demonstration and you'll see that the demonstrators do fill their Blendtec all the way to the top. Sure, the Vitamix has some advantages over the Blendtec, but you don't need to start making stuff up.

Okay. Both the Designer 725 and the VMix 5200 did a great job on blending, crushing, pureeing, and much more. But based on my Researches (I decided to ask my friends what are the pros and cons of these blenders, since my friendS have one of these.)I found their PROS and CONS.
All Vitamixes
PROS
-Worth the price
- Can replace 13 machines
- Very Durable
- Powerful
- Great Investment
CONS
- Uses a MESSY PLUNGER (Tamper)
- Expensive
- Cannot Fit Most Kitchen Cabinets (only the 5200, 6300, Pro 500, Etc.)
- Cannot blend without a Tamper.
All Blendtec
PROS
- Really POWERFUL
- Great Jar Design
- Looks very appealing
- Durable Blades
CONS
- Too Powerful for Mayonnaise
- Loud
- Touch Screen not as responsive.
- Expensive.
So there you go! For Me, I don't make much Mayo, I hate tampers, and I want a sleek, great blender. I chose BOTH. Surprised! Okay, let me explain. The Vitamix really is a great blender, so do the Blendtec? I ran both. And I just love Vitamix more for it's reliability. And the Blendtec for its Power. But then, I only make smoothies and nut butters. Also soup when there's sick in our home. So I returned the BLENDTEC😭!
