Hello to you, my dark lovelies! Here’s a new soothing melody for you called ‘Loving the Villain’. We all heard the story of a lovely Persephone, torn away from the abundant bosom of beauty and light, and pulled down into the barren vastness of eternal darkness by a merciless hand of Hades, the Lord of the Underworld. The opposite worlds collided, the land of the living was plunged into severe winters, and the dark kingdom expanded its domain. The balance was broken, and the bargain was struck. However, I can’t shake the feeling that there’s more to the story. Maybe there was no kidnapping, but in fact the lovers eloped, knowing that nobody would support Persephone’s choice? Maybe she saw the side of him that nobody else did? *_What do you think, my dearies, was it true love against all the odds? Or was it just another victory of the usurper? _*
I strongly believe Persephone was powerful in her own right and she and Hades rekindled a love that started before they even met. Strange, maybe, but this whole "kidnapping" and "victim" thing throws me off. Their love transcends time. Both deities were so much more than what remaining documents and stories tell us today. Plus, the Western world sticks to what it knows of both deities, and they don't know very much. I think Persephone and Hades are happily in the Underworld living their best eternity (or even "traveling"). I love this video so much, and you posted just when I needed it. Thanks so much
Funny thing is that they both became loyal despite everything they’ve been doing so I guess this “kidnapping” really did the trick to get them together
“Without my darkness, how could you see my light? They need each other like the wrong needs the right, like the forest needs the trees like the heavens need the seas “ - exert from ‘duality’ poem by me
I fell in love with "the villain". He went on to protect me from innumerable dangers and forgave me at my worst. Your true love might be some sort of darkness you never imagined, yet the warmth that makes you feel safe and whole. Sometimes the contrast is real, but you need to trust him and your gut. It might truly heal you. You might truly have found love, even if it didn't appear that way at first.
Cuidado.
@@sadakararight. There’s a difference between a true villain and an antihero (dark hero; Byronic hero, etc etc). Morally grey has redeemable qualities.
The world burns in your stead. But all you can see is his eyes, flitting over you for any visible wounds. After he finds you whole and unharmed, he gently leans towards you, your brows touching. "I killed them. I killed them all," he murmurs into your hair. "Yes, darling." You reply, fingers entwining into his. "Because you saved me."
Hello Regnum Umbrae, i love listening to your music they are so beautiful despite it being sad. I like too the pictures you use ~🤩 this match so well ! You have a unique way of making your music. You inspire me to have story ideas. Currently I'm writing one on Quotev and I'd like to know if I can put your music in background? 🤔 On the site page we see the videos like youtube so we see the name of the artist, you dont need to worry about it. Thank you Regnum Umbrae if i can have a answer from you, it will be kind 😊 have a nice evening ~
@@RegnumUmbraeIt is? I have loved vampires my entire life and, loving Tom Hiddleston's Loki, I had looked forward to seeing him play one. I had to force myself to finish the movie, I was so damn bored. And the "music" . . . Blech. I mean nothing personal, I just cannot understand why so many people like it.
I love listening to the songs on your channel. But i love this the most. It felt tragic, sad, longing, yearning, far, intense. As if i could imagine a love so strong but pushed away by strong currents, like drowning and yet saved again, over and over again. Makes me wonder if there ever will have a happy ending. It's hauntingly beautiful. I love this.
This was the perfect song for reading Acotar to. I pressed start and started chapter 23. The soft music and water sounds went well with the next few chapters as well. A happy accident. ❤
In the nighttime, that's when I shine, That's when I arise. In the night sky, I feel like I can do anything and feel like a king in the darkness of nights.
how beautiful you mixed and played it ... I usually don't stay in these song pages for long time ... but I listened to your entire song the moment it got playing ! people don't know how loving a villain would feel like ... I know , and you know too :) it's so magical and beautiful that I started dancing with shadows on balcony after dark, feeling the rain, feeling my lover's hand in mine ... wish people know how much beauty lies in darkness ...
Indeed, there was a lot more to the story according to even the earliest known versions of the myth itself, in the Homeric Hymns to Demeter. According to those texts, before he took Persephone, he sought the permission of her father, Zeus (yes, his brother, who sired Persephone with their sister Demeter; this was a "Cain's wife" thing that happened a lot in the ancient Greek myths) to marry her. Zeus agreed to this, making this less of a kidnapping and more of a legitimate marriage. Even capturing the bride without warning was a common marriage custom at the time, so much that it may have even been anticipated (to the point that the Romans even say that Persephone was happy when she realized what was going on). The problem was that her mother, Demeter, was not consulted and her wishes were even defied, but she wasn't really mad at Hades, but at Zeus for marrying their daughter off. But it soon became clear that Persephone's wishes were different from her mother's. When Hermes came to return her to Demeter, Hades sent her off, offering her a choice to return to him and promising her equal rulership over his kingdom and great honor as a goddess if she did (which was unheard of for women in ancient Greece). He then gave her the pomegranate seeds, which was another common ancient Greek marriage custom that cemented the union. As a nature goddess, she would have known no hunger and the way that the Homeric Hymns call her wise in eating the seeds indicated that she knew exactly what she was doing. And so, although she initially told her mother otherwise, Persephone ultimately chose to remain bound to Hades and return to the underworld as his queen. And when she did, Hades kept his promise and made her co-ruler of the underworld. Afterwards, the ancient Greeks respected and feared her no less than Hades, often attributing rule over the dead and curses over the wicked to her.
I’ve listened to this on repeat reading multiple books (good ambiance j love it) but the one ad break always ends up coming up during a super sad part. I be reading about heartbreak and death and all of a sudden hear an Arby’s ad LMFAO
I love everything that has a dark side. Why? Why some people has a dark side? My favorite color is black, I love dark and rainy days with thunder, I hate the sun and the blue sky. Close the curtains and light up all my candles. Why?

You, you were a quiet and calm rain over an ocean. But I only knew of roaring and thunderous storms. While you offered me safe harbour at your docks I couldn't let go of the chaos and violence I had ever known. Your peace gave me fear. What a stupid girl I was.

*_What do you think, my dearies, was it true love against all the odds? Or was it just another victory of the usurper? _*
I believe it was arranged beforehand. The story says she loved him later, but I'm sure it was love form the start. Opposites attract.
I strongly believe Persephone was powerful in her own right and she and Hades rekindled a love that started before they even met. Well, that sounds beautiful, but is more suitable for Aphrodite and her husband Hephaestus
Funny thing is that they both became loyal despite everything they’ve been doing so I guess this “kidnapping” really did the trick to get them together
Love is Love. An emotion that is invisible to the eye but felt in the heart.

That was an excellent poem my friend. I do hope you continue, and maybe enter it in a contest. Good luck, poet; it's only up from here!
Would you mind posting the entire poem? This is beautiful. ❤️
Agreed with the other comments! Would you please be so kind as to post the rest of this darkly enchanting piece? Pretty, pretty please?
💜
perfect
that's such a beautiful and gentle song! The image is incredibly romantic, too! I love how tender they are with each other.❤❤❤
I like how most comments are in the assumption that the villain of this duo is the gent in black, when it could very well be the other way around. 😊
true, technically speaking both sides are the villain
Well I mean there's a description too on it
its the black and white
Well, he *is* on fire
Maybe both are. Another Bonny and Clyde.
I love how sensual and dark this beautiful piece is. It would be so amazing to see more mythology inspired music on this channel 🥀🖤
as always, I appreciate it!
A romance has been possible, feelings run through their veins, love flows in both, endless. Magnificent cover and melody
There is beauty in the darkness. In the black shadows. I am whole.
