Its interesting cause they have a very large genetic similarity to us south slavs and ironically their folk costumes look similar to serbian ones and their dances too.
@@istkeingeheimnis8093 Not really, Sardinians are very unique and have the most genetic similarity with the Spanish/Portuguese and Italians. South Slavs on the other hand are mostly descended from Eastern Slavic migrants who had little similarity to South-Europeans like Sardinians.
@@istkeingeheimnis8093 The ancestral components of Serbians are vastly different from Sardinians. The ancestral components among Serbians show that Serbians have the most genetic similarity with Central-Europeans (Germans, Czechs, Hungarians, English, French etc.) Sardinians on the other hand have the most similarity with other (mostly Non-Slavic) South-Europeans (Spaniards, Greeks, Portuguese).
Came here after reading a study that said out of four different types of dances done for 12 weeks, this is the only one where people reported it it improved their mood significantly.
Yeah not only that. Their haplogroup is dominantly I2a as in serbians, croatians and bosnians. Very very weird that is very different from all other italians.
Anyone know the name of this dance? The music is amazing. Curious if the accordion was used traditionally for this dance or another set of instruments.
gatorsrsupreme hi sir is called Ballu tundu ( circular dance I suppose because as they dance the form a circle ) or Ballu Sardu ( Sardinian Dance) instruments used are the accordion and or the launeddas ( thin pipe flutes witch sounds quite like Scottish bag pipe) they are made of canes I hope I was helpful Addiosu
Hi guys i hope i find some real Sardinians here. because i have some interesting questions. I am a Serbian and since a few years there are very interesting findings on the field of archeology, linguistic etymology and dna. It seems that the Sardinians share in high concentration the same haplogroup dna with Dinaric people who originally were Serbs but nowadays Croatians and Bosniaks too. The theory was the that old Etruscans fled to your Island after the wars. And now i discovered that the Sarsinians have the same (or very similar) style of folk dancing like Serbians. Even the singing of a few people with the creation of this 1 specific tone is aomething we use too. What do you learn about the origins of Sardinians? Cheers.
@@milros9422 The reason i found this is because of the DNA similarities and the current theorue about Slavic(Serbian too)-Etruscan-Sardinian link. Too much coincindences at one place!
European history is very interesting! I watched some videos from Survive the Jive. He talked about how Europeans are an admixture of three different groups of people. He also mentioned Sardinians and their culture that has interesting pagan elements and folk music. Also, he talked about dna and how Sardinians resemble early European farmers the most. I found it really interesting. :) sorry for my English, i don't use it that much :D

Very beautiful dances and music and folks from Sardinia.
I'm so keen listening this kind of music.
Kindly regards from Croatia.

we do tend to eat cheese and cured meats as well as drink good wine during the lessons, so maybe it's not just the dancing
Bravo! Belissimo!:)
No these people aren't your ancestors or descendants. No matter how delusional you are to believe it.
This is almost the same as the Serbian traditionall dance which is called "kolo", an old Serbian word that means "a circle".
Same genetic heritage resulting in shared traditions.
Great video! Emotions in motion....ever! Beautiful women!
Complimenti ai ballerini ed in particolare alle bellissime ragazze
