  • Uniquely situated on the border between the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, the Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show is surrounded by thousands of heavy oil wells of both cold and thermal production. This leading-edge technology exhibition is a great opportunity for visitors to discover and network with the substantial knowledge base that exhibitors bring to the show. For businesses, this show is an excellent format to demonstrate to Canada and the world how heavy oil can be produced in a manageable and profitable manner.
On September 11th, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe spoke to reporters alongside Lloydminster Mayor Gerald Aalbers.
NOTICE - PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE the last-minute announcement of the press conference the audio was only able to pick up the speakers and not the reporters. Our apologies.

Here's a use for CO2 - plants. Greenhouse operators often pump CO2 into the greenhouses to enhance plant growth. CO2 emissions have accounted for an extra 20% green growth worldwide over the last 50 years alone. We're hovering around 415 ppm, and at 150ppm, all plants die! The ISS runs on roughly 2000ppm of CO2 and submarines work at over 5000 ppm of CO2. The climate hysteria is overblown. We need to do better, but we're not all going to burn anytime soon. As for Miss Playoff tickets, is that the most important thing facing our country?

I support both premiers. However let’s get with the times. I feel like this was recorded in the mid 2000’s at best, the one major area the conservatives lack in general is in the public relations department. Pay an editor. don’t mistake conservative with cheep, somethings are Just a part of doing business.

Alberta UCP Bill 32, the so-called Restoring Balance in Alberta’s Workplaces Act, was passed into law on July 29, 2020. It permits overtime pay or time-off entitlements to be averaged over a 52-week period. This affected any worker not protected by a union agreement.

In the last 20 years, every continent except North America has planted a significant number of trees to increase overall biodiversity by an impressive margin (I don't have the figures beside me). So, most parts of the world agree with you, and are replanting forests. China, for example, is reclaiming desert landscapes as well. Between this, and improved carbon captiure for fossil fuel extraction, I think we're heading down a better path. I would like to see our resources nationalised, like Norway, but I don't know if that will happen here.

Minimum wage should be be for new workers with little experience in the work force, students for example, no matter the job. It’s the companies hiring that need to pay more for the job being done. If they feel the person has minimum ability to do the job, why hire them for that position.

Small nucleur reactors are NOT economically viable. It sounds great but look at abilities of the current SNR in action. It just isnt capable of making it affordable
These two do not believe in the climate emergency or even that it is man made. They are playing the game to satisfy the overlords. Our atmosphere could use a fair bit more of co2 and we should be focused on standing for actual science rather than ideology that has no basis. Carbon capture used to feed the plants in our long winters for example. Why else are deserts greening? Should food production not be at least as important as energy production?
