I'm still not counting rivets and my latest project is an o gauge etched brass kit for a 16 ton mineral wagon that goes so hard on detail that it has working leaf springs and in theory functional break gear if you wanna make them work, which i definately do like the challenge of. Rivet counter is just a pejorative used by people that do this hobby and want to feel better about lack of skill or willingness to put in any effort beyond opening a box. ;) Love your use of preshading on the planks, fantastic technique
I remember the Willesden one, often came down to Olympia bringing the Ford empties to pick up the Ford train my uncle had brought up because it was just easier than arranging a pilot from Olympia to Willesden and it was a very slick affair having the rat and the crompton dance round their trains then it was kicking our heels for a bit til the window for our departure was given and back down to Kent with a tiny stop at Milton Range halt so I could jump off and leg it back home again. If me dad was at Hoo Jnc box I could hang around there and go home with him. I loved 70's BR it was just so bloody cool unlike the profit driven rubbish it is today but never fear as Scotrail is going to be nationalised and is handy as I am moving to Glasgow sometime this year and I might have to see if I can wangle a job at Yoker works :)
Really enjoying these videos, you have a very unique way of presenting - which is refreshing. It's like listening to Kipper the Dog videos, soothing and stimulating all at the same time. I mean that as a compliment of course! Only problem is have almost finished your collection so if you can make a couple dozen more for next week that'll be very strawberry click clack.
Probably, one day in the future! It's is partly dismantled at the moment, undergoing refurb and upgrade work, again! 🙄 Taking ages to do as I seem to be in high demand at work!! Message me so I can remember where to contact when I get closer to finishing off 👍
Nice work, I particularly like the uneven head code at one end 🤩👍

Lovely job. Very encouraging for us armchair modellers with loads of jobs that never get started.
Thanks,
Bob

One of those videos that make you cringe! Brave man but a great job.
Could you talk about your EX class 08 snowplough and how you made it, and do you have 1 or more.
I could do 🤔
Built them before I started doing TH-cam, but could do another?
Will put it on the list 👍
What filler do you use to go over unwanted holes please?
Thank you, Dudley
Various! none in particular, whatever I have to hand a the time.
For big jobs I like Milliput, smaller work I tend to use Squadron
Your class 25 is a cow....
