24:05 thats how its really happend. Because that falling scene was animation. Animation works with physics. The team scanned the structure with lazer machine to do the hole set and falling animation. Real guy fall down 120 + feet. He was rescued and survived. Living happily.

The real Manjunmel Boys have a cameo in the movie. They are the guys who win the tug of war. Their photos are also shown with the end credits.
Thats right it is a sign that says smoking kills and drinking is injurious is to helath. Every movie in india is legally obliged to contain those logos/warning signs, when ever there is a smoking or drinking scene.

The song played when they emerge out of the pit is the song from the movie "Guna" ( 1991). This moment the theatres went crazy. Because, the entire incident happened Because of the boys wanting to see the shooting spot where the movie "Guna" was shot. You can see them buying a CD of this song in the earlier prt of the movie. Also the lines of the song which talks about the heroes love on the heroine ( in Guna movie) is now aptly used to describe the love ( i.e., the love of freindship) in this situation. People from South India appreciated the choice of song, Because they knew the back story. By the way Guna is a very very popular movie in Tamil Nadu and Kerela ( South Indian states).

It felt weird it wasn't smooth. I wish they use the simple bgm. Though I love the gunna song I wish they did not use.

14:05 there are multiple such pits most of them in which someone previously fell are already covered but this one was hidden till now due to fallen leaves
You might not know this, but here is a trivia. The cave became famous because of a 1991 classic cult film Guna, by a legendary Indian actor, where the entirety of the film was shot on that hill and that cave. The actor, director, and their team risked their lives making that movie. The song at the end where you mentioned "interesting choice" was from that film. And this movie also pays homage to that legendary Indian actor and that movie. Because the director is a huge fan of that actor, Kamal Hassan.
And this is based on a true incident that happened in 2006. Those guys are still alive and kicking.
hey here's some trivia for you ❤
1. Subhash's brother's belt helped him stay tied to the rope when he fell down after getting tied by his friend
2. remember the scene in Palani where subhash discusses his belief in God? He describes it as a light from above. His friend is his God in the rescue scene as he shines his headlight onto him. Sometimes when humans are faced with God or what they believe to be God, there's a kind of shock. Also people react like that when they wake up after trauma.
3. The black stuff on subhash's body and face upon falling down is simply crushed oreo and water, as stated by the makeup department 😂

FYI : The Actor mentioned in that Song that is played throughout the Movie, Kanmani Anbodu Kathalan..., is Kamal Hassan. He plays Supreme Yaskin in Kalki.
U should've watched the end credit scene.. that's the real twist.. like this being a true story.. the end credit scene showed the photos of real manjummel boys and the real hero and real Subhash everyone.. they're photos from the trip everything

It was not covered until that accident. But the pit was known from British time and is called the devil's kitchen bcoz Puffs of smoke comes from it randomly. The belief is devl cooks his dinner there. Before Subhash 13 people according to govt record fell into it and perished. One of whom was a central minister's nephew. They tried very hard but couldn't get even his body back. The whole area was restricted area and there was a fence around it with warning signs.

The usual question for viewers: Why isn't there a grate covering the pit.
The fact is that there are 100s of pits like that once you enter the cave. Guna cave is dangerous because most of those pits get covered by dry leaves and mud due to rain. It is very difficult to keep track of all the pits. The director of the movie had said in an interview that even during the span of 6 months while shooting the terrain inside the cave completely changed and was almost unrecognisable. The task of spotting all the pits and covering them itself is a very dangerous task and authorities here think that it is better to close off the whole place completely.
You missed the credit scenes where they show the actual photographs from the original manjummel boys
You were saying if this was an American movie the police would act different , but that's not an accurate analogy , the more accurate analogy is a group of American 20 years old college or university students going on a vacation to mexico and then something like this happens. The locals and people in Mexico know this place is dangerous and to be vety careful , its a popular point where people take their lives and lots of accidents happen , so the first reaction of a slightly corrupt foreign police would be that you guys murdered somebody and made it look like an accident , coz everywhere its written its dangerous and stay away and yet you chose to go there still .
They say right before someone dies , their life flashes in their mind bringing back memories from old to new in the form of a show reel , that's kinda what the sub conscious mind of Subhash was experiencing and it's not exactly like a dream . He's been unconscious and in insane amount of pain , and probably has no idea or memory of what happened and where he is , so an immediate flight or fight response to a bunch of lights on your face and hands trying to tie your body up in ropes would be to attack ! Not to mention the adrenaline rush and hormones the mind might be in trying to cope from the traumatic experience and pain . It's highly likely he's completely disoriented and hallucinations or delusions and can't think properly. That's what the filmmakers tried to convey with that scene you found to be odd and confusing .
And regarding American movies that are popular in India are ones like post 90s or 2000s , when televisions became more accessible and channels like HBO and Star movies were available in India. So stuff like movies of Steven Spielberg , James Cameron , Rambo , Rocky , terminator , avatar , matrix , aliens , men in black , ( star wars not so much coz they were earlier and still quite confusing which is the actual one coz there's a lot of different versions at this point ) , Jurassic park , god father , Christopher Nolan movies , fast and furious , marvel and DC movies etc .
And regarding American movies that are popular in India are ones like post 90s or 2000s , when televisions became more accessible and channels like HBO and Star movies and cartoon network etc were available in India. So stuff like movies of Steven Spielberg , James Cameron , Rambo , Rocky , terminator , avatar , matrix , aliens , men in black , ( star wars not so much coz they were earlier and still quite confusing which is the actual one coz there's a lot of different versions at this point ) , Jurassic park , god father , Christopher Nolan movies , fast and furious , marvel and DC movies etc to name a few right out the top of my mind

I get your point with the fall but it was actually accurate cause if it was a 120+ feet straight fall the would impact would cause him to die but if u see he didnt fall directly his fall was broken many times and there where a lot of leaves which softened his fall. The real dude had severe inguries but made it.

Just watched the trailer. It looks like it’s right up my alley. Excited to watch.
What kind of reaction was this. Somany scenes reactions are missing. Credit scene reaction was not there. Ended the video like subhash fell in the cave. "So thats manjummel boys " and suddenly ended. Nowadays film content creators are like this. They talk about random stuffs and finish the videos. They dont into watching, they simply do some commentries about random stuffs.
