Another 1,000 subscribers! Well done. If you have the flexibility, a great side trip would be to head to Paracho, Michoacan...It is a small town just south of Ajicjic that is completely dedicated to making guitars. If you go into a music store in Mexico, you can count on the low end guitars being made there. That's the biggest market so, the biggest production. BUT, they also have some of the finest guitar makers anywhere. I had a guitar made to my specifications that cost probably less than 1/4 of what I would have paid for the same guitar made by a luthier in the US or Europe.

¡Bienvenidos a Ajijic y Chapala! It is awesome that you guys have made it to this area. I think you have been taking little peaks at Tangerine Travels videos in regards to the Peacock Restaurant, but YES it is an awesome restaurant. But Ajijic is full of really awesome restaurants too. If you have been missing really good Thai, or Indian, or German, or even Cajun, plus many more cuisines...........we have it here! Unfortunately, fantastic Mexican cuisine is kinda hard to get around these here parts, but you can always check out Viva Mexico in San Juan Cosalá, that place is chupase los dedos delicioso! I know ya'll said that you are on a very short visit, but we viewers still would love to see you get together with the Mandarinas or Tangerine Travelers. Oh, by the way, don't forget to check out Chapala, our malecón is not as quiet............Have fun traveling! For a good vlog idea that almost no one ever does, is on the gorgeous and green Cristiania Park and the Beautiful Train Station in Chapala (they are right next to each other and both have to die for views of the lake.)

You made it to Ajijic! I was one of the persons who suggested this place. I've never been there, but I've heard about the ex-pat community and how large it is. I began to do research on other ex-pat communities about two years ago because I'm about 5 years away from early retirement, so Ajijic is on my top two or three places so far. I am a native San Diegan and I read that the climate there in Ajijic is very similar to San Diego, year-round! That's a priority for me. Another great thing is that Ajijic is considered an artist community as well. I hope you get to do a video where you focus on the ex-pats, maybe interview a few too. Cant wait to watch your videos for the next few days!

Another extremely satisfying vlog Greg and Hillary. Thank you so much for your efforts. The state of Jalisco was never on our radar. It is now, since we found you a while back.
This comment kind of relates more to your “Puerto Vallarta - Is it Really Paradise? (THE TRUTH)” video more but anyway.....I appreciate your daily dose of positivity. I need it. What goes on in the space between work and home really isn’t for me. You both are absolutely correct. The world has become SO negative. Our television sits in its cabinet unused. Turn it on and it’s content streams negative vibes. You two on the other hand.....a breath of fresh air. Can’t wait for our two weeks in April....San Jose del Cabo. Our “Mexico fix.” Two weeks filled with smiling people....welcoming people....good food.....memories made. Keep up the good “fight” Kennons. We should all strive to be more. Can’t wait to see what you have for us next! Peace and love always. Cheers from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

A couple of pueblos mágicos nearby: Tapalpa and Mazamitla. I highly recommend Tapalpa (my bias), but both have beautiful settings. If you do go to Tapalpa, I think it has a great small-town feel to it. The surrounding towns (like Sayula) also have charm and history and definitely off the beaten path for U.S. tourists. Thanks for sharing your travels with us... this part of México is where my family is from, so it has a lot of meaning. Safe travels, Greg and Hillary!

I really enjoy your vlogs. Would you consider doing a joint vlog with Jerry and Lori Brown and Tangerine Travels? You all are very adventurous and focus on similar topics such as living in and traveling in Mexico. Loved the Ajijic and the Guanajato vlogs. Keep up the great work.

And it is the first time I have heard a U S citizen say a phrase I always use and we in Mexico say it all the time. You said , United Statesian. Estado Unidense. Love it. New generations. Love it. The entire darn continent is American. Thank you!
