Much to our delight, there are several fashion trends from the best decade ever (cough.. the 90s... cough) making a big comeback so we decided to order some of our own and take a trip down memory lane... while also deciding whether or not we're glad the trend has returned.

I love wearing chokers but was born in 99. I don't call my self a nineties kid but people who tell you that you can't wear something because you weren't born when they were popular need to shut up. Sorry I wasn't born ten years earlier. Anyway, chokers became popular in the eighteen hundreds so unless she's 200 years old I would like her to stop whining.

Lol yea you can wear anything you want from the 90s or 80s or any decade for that matter I think the only thing that's annoying is when people pretend they remember the 90s when they clearly did not. It's really not a big deal just annoying.
Gracious Waters I'm 10 years older than you, and I think it's awesome that kids and teens are getting into trends that I grew up with and am still in love with! I've been really into 60's-70's fashion and even little parts of Victorian fashion lately, so there's nothing wrong with you borrowing styles from a time you weren't around for. Certain trends always come back in style 20 years later, and us 90's kids need to remember that some of our fashion was borrowed from the 70's, too.

I don't think we have dress codes here in Sweden (I'm Swedish too btw, heyy) We can literally wear whatever we want to. One girl in my school showed up with a lacy crop top/bralette thingy and the shortest short-shorts I've ever seen, so that's fun :D

In Britain a trend is the platform / heeled jelly shoes with pastel socks with lace trims and it looks super cute

Haha I live in Canada and that's how I wear my jellies. They are the heeled white jellies and I wear them with grey burgundy or pink Lacey socks with a white lace trim and I always get compliments

I just googled it hahaha yes, in some point I collected them, too. In my country they also have something similar to pogs but we could arrange them into something. Somewhat like blocks only they're thin and round. They had several slits around (for joining). I don't even know what it's called 😁

Also anyone else remember those little machines they had for kids around malls where you inserted $2 and got a little prize like a choker or keychain, usually in a little plastic ball? Because they were cool. Like really cool

I'm in england. Think yourself lucky that you had just a dress code. We have a uniform. Literally you cant wear anything that doesnt have the school logo on it!

I go to school in the US, and I have to wear uniform. Plaid skirt, button up
I'm in the U.S. But I have the stupidest school and they make us where like stick pants ("work pants") and these depressing gray button ups with the school crest on it along with all black flats or low heels. You can't even have a colored back pack, your own jacket, and you have to wear a short sleeve white crew neck tee. The girls have to wear their hair in a bun or you get dress coded. They're super strict about appearance, it's ridiculous. That's pretty much all they care about.

our generation doesn't have any trends, all we do is bring back stuff from other generations like the 70s 80s and 90s
I know right, but you have to admit, the 90's have amazing trends
+lindsey castillo sperries, boot heels, the whole "military chic" thing. infinity scarves. beach waves. extreme fascination and detail to eyebrows and lips and makeup in general.the adoption of PINK clothing as a clothing staple. we have a lot they just aren't very prominent and out there because of how diverse fashion for us has become. the early 2000's was full of sweater dresses and layering and layering and layering. mid 2000's had boho chic. plus the 80's and 90's and 70's all borrowed things from previous generations too. the 70's liked to borrow things from the 50's (aka grease and high waisted everything) its just vicious cycle of reusing things and turning them into something sightly diferent to fit the times.

I was born in 82, so the 90s were middle school and high school days for me! I tried to do the flannel and the overalls, but I always felt like other girls were cuter in them than me.

I remember those jelly shoes smelling like bubblegum or grapes. I saw some recently and they smelled like chemicals and rubber. I'm pretty sure my "casual wear" for the first 13 years of my life was printed longsleeve turtlenecks with overall pants, shorts, skirts or skorts. maybe even capris.

born in '82 and I was in High School for a lot of these trends. I LOVE JELLY SHOES!!!! Im so thrilled they are coming back. Wearing knee high socks with them was always a thing, but I usually just wore them without socks. Its so funny how all the trends come back around again.

I'm a 90's baby and I miss all these things! So many great memories. I loved jelly shoes! Remember the blow up chairs and couches? They had different bright colors and they were made out of plastic. I hated how my blow up couch was always deflating because it kept getting holes 😒. Loved the 90's.

I was born in the early 80's and I remember all of those trends. My mom hated it when I wore the choker but it only cost me a quarter to annoy her lol. I remember in junior high my friend always got in trouble for wearing her crop tops or spaghetti strap tops. The other trend in the 90's that was big was shoes like Nike.

in the 90s i wore those Shoes at the beach. We used them as Aqua-shoes! so you wont cut your feet when you walk over sharp stones or whatsoever! Didnt know people would wear them as everyday shoes! XD
