I got to witness this first hand when I had issues with child protective services. they could say whatever they wanted and we were stonewalled. after we lost the kids 3 times to BS and lies, we got a new judge who wrecked them for not having the hard evidence to back up their claims! he literally went Judge Judy on them when he told the social worker to sit down and shut up, I'm done talking to you!
Thankfully how they treat men is changing.

I'm 41 now but I'm the product of a mom who did this. Didn't see my dad from 4-17. On a whim I went to live with him and it was the best choice I ever made. He's my favorite person ever. The relationship was never the same with my mom, I just couldn't see her the same after I learned of all she did. Woman will do this being so short sighted for a few yrs and loose the majority of their kids' lives once they're older. Don't do this to kids, it leaves a lasting impression that doesn't ever really go away.
And all lot of these vindictive mothers don't realize that when their kids are old enough they will want nothing to do with them for being used as a pawn in some game and seen as a paycheck

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. I feel you. My boyfriend's first two kids were taken from him because he tried to defend his child and the last two kids were poisoned by their mother into believing that their dad was a deadbeat. It's horrible the amount of psychological scars that happen to children because of parents that hate the other parent. Often what the poisoning parent says is blown way out of proportion and doesn't take into account when a person changes. I'm glad you get to see your dad now and I hope you guys are doing well.
I went through similar. I'm 47, and I still resent my mother for alienating my father. She claimed that she "wanted us to have a relationship with our father, " but in another breath talk about how awful and abusive he was. Even now, he's passed away, and she STILL has a new story to tell on how awful he was whenever he is even mentioned.

My dad got custody of us after i turn 14yr. My dad says hevwas a bad guy and he did have 3 wife and several kids but he hasnt beent to jail in over 15yr. He change my mom was really bad killed my brother tried to kill all her kids just so she wouldnt have to pay child susport. Beat on us just was awful. He act like it was her just having a drug problem. And tries to defend her. I wish he would talk bad about her but instead if he even hears us talk bad about her. He always say she had a drug problem he was a bad guy.
She thought that because she had all these degrees , the court would automatically believe every word she said. 😂😂😂

I made a similar comment. This could be used against her if they had the right lawyer. Clearly she has a bias and no one can tell us she isn't doing this in practice.
Like seriously. She's in Marriage & Family Therapy and yet she can't make a relationship with this man work and she's alienating his kids from him? That woman is in the wrong field.
TBH, I could not find anything on the internet that indicated that she's a practicing therapist at all. All except her self-proclaimed title in her SM profile.

This judge is amazing. Interviewing the kids in their own home to talk to them, seeing the alienation of the kids from the dad. As a foster parent I wish more juvenile judges were this good, then maybe kids would stop getting sent back to abusive homes.

I know of a CAC that is a user, and provides for an addict boyfriend.
I have heard that in our NHS, if you have any mental health history, you are not allowed to be a therapist, at least not employed by NHS Mental Health.

I was going to say the same thing. She is going to dig in her heels in any way possible. And that is devastating because these kids are the ones that will suffer because of her behavior.

Imagine having kids with a guy who had a DUI FIVE years prior to the birth of the first child, deciding to have 3 children with that man after that known fact, then using that same DUI as grounds to deny his parental rights.

If she doesn't keep speaking about what's on her mind, she'll spontaneously combust... and it doesn't matter how inappropriate (like while a judge is deliberating).

This must be a basic playbook for bitter baby moms-- My bm is a family and marriage counselor as well and after losing a custody battle she claimed that I was abusive and alienated me from my daughter for a year and a half.. during that time she told my daughter that I never wanted her / wanted her aborted when I have been there since the umbilical chord was cut. With patience and a good lawyer I was able to have her returned to me and now her mom gets her every other weekend.
WELL DONE!! Good move on getting a lawyer. Your BM is diabolical, and her daughter will grow to resent how she tried to manipulate your relationship with her. Trust me, we remember everything.

When my ex-husband and I divorced, there was 1 lawyer and represented our children. As the Great State of Michigan we are 100% parents, NO Child Support, no spouse support. He would drop off the kids on his way to work; I gave breakfast, lunch and dinner, saw them off to school. After school we had cool down time with snacks. He would pick them up and go to his house for his time. We both saw the kids everyday, it was the only way we both could be full time parents. He and I got the divorce we did not divorce our kids. He had one kid for taxes and I had the other. There wasn’t any back biting slandering
At first we thought to leave the kids in our house then he and I would find our own places so the kids weren’t uprooted.
I can not understand these selfish mothers who feel they have to control the children, the ex-husbands and school; that jealousy and greedy, isn’t conducive to stable children. the children can only pick up that negativity and react. If these self centered mothers would open their eyes they would see when the kids are with dad mom can FREE TIME, ME TIME to just be a grown up.
Doesn’t work like that. Those mothers are vicious and vindictive to the point of destruction. They hate the father more than they love their kids. They are nothing more to her than a weapon to be wielded against the father.
It is sad that more parents can't be like you and your ex.

If he’s a bad parent for that, then she’s a bad parent, for knowing that and still having kids with him. Key point in why you can’t just accept a piece of paper. You have to do your homework on any counselor you’re going to use.
I'm dating a guy who used to be married to a children's therapist. She was a severe alcohol, she destroyed their lives, and burned all her professional bridges. The more I learn the more I think people who work in mental health usually need to be in therapy themselves.

Oh, this ain’t over for mama. I foresee many more court hearings with ridiculous accusations, and contempt motions against the father. I guarantee you she’s going to use her legal decision-making to further keep dad out of the loop as much as she can. I predict he is going to have to come back to court in order to get access to the children’s school records and medical records because she will not name him as an authorized person. I worked in family court and in Supreme Court divorce proceedings and have seen a whole lotta nonsense.

My daughter refused meat since before she could talk. 1 child out of my 4 was born a vegetarian. She's 8 now. Not saying its normal. But it happens. I've tried to trick the girl just to find chewed meat in the corner of her plate every single time. Even before she knew it was animals

How sad is it this is considered a win for the man. The judge finds she's poisoning the well& he gets ridiculously restricted access to the kids so they aren't traumatized?! She has proven she can't be trusted with power. The kids should be moving in with dad& she gets supervised weekends..

Sadly this is actually the better approach. Her being the bad person doesn't negate the trauma the kids have gone through. Imagine being thrown in to live with someone that you barely know that your mom has said is the boogey man. It would traumatize them further. Moms do this all the time. They poison their kids against their fathers so that it's a big, long uphill battle for dad to get them back again. And because the courts were stupid enough to allow her to do it, they have to force the dad to take these miniscule steps to get any kind of a relationship. That being said there is an attached punishment to all of that. If at any point in time she refuses to allow him to see his kids, if she continues to poison the well against him and further try to alienate him, she can be found in contempt and be given fines, jail time, or even lose custody if she keeps doing it. There were a lot of steps there. If she violates any of them dad can take her back to court and have her punished. He now has teeth that he didn't have before. And it looks like dad really does care for his kids and wants to be a part of their lives. Her number is up. It may seem like dad is being punished but in reality the judge has just given him teeth and lots of it. Because every time that she refuses him to see the kids or doesn't follow the court order, she will be punished and he can be given extra parenting time. In the end, that's going to work against her. It's like trying to push back a rising tide. Furthermore, the judge made a good point that parents are expected to facilitate parenting time. If she doesn't in any way, even through inaction, she will be punished. It may seem like he's being punished but you have to think of it this way. He hasn't seen his kids in a long time. Even two hours with them is going to seem like a gift from God. And it's clear he doesn't want to make this hard on the kids. Mom's tyranny is over unless she wants to start being punished. I've seen this judge before. I've seen him put women in court for 90 days on a first offense of refusing parenting time. He's not a softy. If she deviates at all from the order, he's going to make her feel that. Her poisoning spree is over. Next will come the punishment. Furthermore, a judge has the right to reserve contempt. He can use what she's already done against her and tack it on to what she does next. If she's smart she will follow that court order to the letter until the kids turn 18. If she's not, she's going to feel it. It sucks that there's a possibility that she will never be punished. But the point is to make it better for the kids, not to get revenge. And the best thing for the kids is to get their dad into their lives.
It’s not a restriction on the father, it’s to ease the children into the relationship with their father, because the mother has painted him as evil. The judges ruling IS in the best interest of the children, and not to punish or restrict the father.
This case could be used against her due to her job. I hope to god a parent sees this and is able to use it to show her bias to effectively do her job correctly.

I honestly think the craziest part of this situation is the simple fact that he is an executive chef, and she thinks that he can’t provide vegetarian dietary needs for the children. I’m pretty sure, as an executive chef, he has significantly more culinary experience and knowledge than her when it comes to meals that are vegetarian.

I think it's crazy how the court can restrict his initial visiting time like this. Forget these two hour or 4 hour visitations. Drop his kids off Friday evening. He'll drop them back off Sunday night. These are his kids.
Facts
He was making it easier for the kids to adjust to the situation in the beginning. He later extended the visitation time to include every other weekend, a weekday, and every other holiday.
It's to adjust the kids to the father and step mom. Makes sense to me
Michigan is one of those states that is hostile to fathers. Joint legal/physical custody is a fantasy in those states.

Here’s a theory: To coerce her children into believing their Father never wanted them! Ultimately turning the children against their father because a child’s thought process is “why would my mother lie to me? My Dad must not want me!”

This father needs to go for joint legal custody once this parenting time plan goes for a few years. After a few years of this, he needs to go for 50:50 parenting time.
Document everything he does with his 3 children. Have witnesses during his parenting time (wife, friend) to bolster his future cases.

You see what this can turn into gas? You see how hard he has to fight how much proof he has to bring. He has to do everything she doesn't have to prove anything. She can just come into court and make accusations. And it can turn into this. The judge clearly knows that she screwed him from day one and he is still siding with her. Believe it or not, she's not gonna get in any trouble.She won't spend the day in jail.She won't pay any fine.He won't get anything back and she'll continue this behavior trust me on the judge said she gotta do, it doesn't mean that she's gonna do it.She's going to fight it all the way too

I'm getting ready to go through this bs later on this month. I have an evil bm that's trying to do the same thing to me.
My ex wife did this to me with our daughters, alienated them from me, lied and called dcfs on me n my new wife(they threw out the case), got a GAL and they all favored her in this case. Crazy part is i still have a close relationship with her first 2 kids(my stepkids i considering my own)
Going through this right now, the previous judge was starting to see how unhinged the ex was but the judge got switched over the new year so… kind of nervous for how things will play out.

@@ByrdMan37Yeah part of why I'm about to go through this is because my bm and I don't communicate. She's very condescending and thinks that she is better than me. I only communicate with the children. Plus she's angry that I don't need her like she thought I did, so now she's trying to break me legally.
