i've literally been using this tutorial for years and man it's practically perfect. in uni, my prof would use my work as an example of how properly justified text should look like and i still use it in my job now. tysm!
the is the best tutorial ! this is the only tutorial you’ll ever need for anything that contains text! Mark my words and bookmark this video and pray this creator never delete it!
In Switzerland, where I did my education as graphic designer,, we see using the glyph scaling as kind of a sacrilege. Even if you cant really consiously see the varied letter width, scaling letters is seen as an insult to the type designer who took great care of creating a balanced look throughout the different characters. I would rather play around with the word and letter spacing, than to scale glyphs.
Totally agree, I came to the same conclusion from my design training in Australia. Which school did you train at, and would you recommend it? I'm looking into ZHDK for further education :)
hi Omen, i know that many type designer consider letters deformation as a typo-crime, but how would you manage a long giustified text? or the text in a book? thank you for sharing your opinion
is that ok in english text when on the end of line is : of, and, is , a, to .... ? I am asking becaouse I don't know the rules for english text , I was working only with my native language.
