I tend to spend a couple of hours on Google Earth to see which roads have interesting terrain and not as many trees. In this case I've been on this road before, so I knew it was rather scenic.

Oh i remember we drove on this road on a holiday with my parents (i was probably 10 or 11 or so). Not very good memories though, because i had severe travel sickness because of all those curves 😬
But yeah the landscape is very beautiful

I drove this road in the other direction a few years ago. Excellent choice! Heading North from Grasse to the Plateau de Valensole and Montagnac-Montpezat. Great little B&B there, la Maison du Bois Doré.
