The emotions in this are pure! Definitely the best song on the album.
I immediately knew I would love this song, especially the first time hearing & experiencing that soaring, glorious feeling of elation when the chorus first hits, “You can DraG the LaKe, But You Won’t FiNd Me” 🖤 This song expresses what it is like to have depression, but to still have the ability to sing with Hope in your voice, in the darkness it is comforting to know your not alone, the light is always there, and you can make it out alive. This album is so well written & relatable on so many levels. Thanks for continually making amazing music 🖤
This song describes the pain and anxiety of life, and the melodic voice of Arhen shows the beauty of a lost lonely situation. I saw the boys play this live in concert and even now I still get a frog in my throat a tear in my eye with amitys display of majestic hardcore

Few bands/musical artists out there can continually evoke an emotional response from me, but The Amity Affliction keeps coming up with these amazing ballads that hit me right in the heart. As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety for many years now, this song brings me to tears every time. It hits the nail on the head of what this shit feels like internally and it honestly makes me feel better to know that I’m not alone. Thank you guys 🙏🏾

Hassan Alnajjar - A65AP I listen to everything, but mainly rock...the heavier stuff. I wasn't allowed to listen to rap or hip hop growing up. My parents listened to classic and jazz music mainly, so that's what I listened to growing up. I played in the orchestra for 8 years of orchestra blah blah blah. My two teenage sons have followed in my footsteps...classically trained muscians with an ear for everything....not just what I guess black people are typically thought to listen to. 🤷

Honestly my opinion on the new album has changed. Wasn’t a fan at first of the songs they released, but this song is definitely one of the best on the album 🙌🏼
I agree, I feel like they chose to promote the worst songs on the album (i.e. Misery, and Feels like I'm dying), but everything else is an absolute joy to listen to

In the bridge towards the end he says "If I could only get some space, If I could only learn my lesson". That part to me interprets that he is still learning from the past mistakes he made that got him through the depression he suffers from. He also says in some parts of the song "just when you think I can't get lower, I turn my back and fuck it up", possibly meaning the mistakes he's made are those he could've avoided. So overall I think the song is about going through regret and depression due to the mistakes the character made in the past.
Ahren your voice gets better with age, Joel’s cleans are equally as impressive- on a whole the only band left of my all time favourites that has not left me one bit dissapointed with an album. Fucking well done boys. Proud to be Aussie \m/

I was listening to this at work and remembered we have several pianos around so I got the intro down by ear if anyone wants to know. Find middle c on the piano aka c4 and go up to the f4 key. the notes are f -f#- c# 3 times then it's f-f#-g#. Don't know if that's helpful but I thought it sounded cool for how simple it is.
