Nicely done! One of my favorite evening pass times is watching great 'bad' movies! This is a perfect example of how our taste in entertainment continues to evolve. The 50's was the decade of the 'Monster Matinee'. It's unfortunate that so many of these films have been lost to time and can't be restored.
    Keep posting movies!!

I was a baby in the 1950s but the 1960s weren't much different. What these these movies were aimed at was children because it was a much much safer time for children and children would walk down to the movie theater by themselves. Their parents were able to get rid of them for a while. So the money was in catering to teenagers and small children. It's why you see a lot of silly monster movies from that time it was made for a immature audience lol.

So, let me get this straight. It takes only two short men to carry an 800 pound Bigfoot/Yeti/Yowee/Skunk Ape/Sasquatch.

Just starting but I am HORRIFIED. Nigel Kneale wrote the Abominable Snowman starring Peter Cushing made in 1957, two years after his same story then called THE CREATURE IN 1955, A YEAR AFTER THIS MOVIE. WHICH IS IDENTICAL SO FAR. THIS MOVIE CAME FIRST. TOTAL RIPOFF BY NIGEL KNEALE. Unhappiness.

Anybody know what the movie was that Forrest Tucker starred in that was about a Yeti. They never catch him, and all but one scientist dies in the end. I think Christopher Lee was also in it.

Why did the plane fly due west from India? . . . Over the middle east, southern Europe, the Atlantic, over the whole of continental U.S........flying east from India over the Pacific to Los Angeles would have been one third the distance.

In those days they didn't have enough fuel to fly across the ocean. They had to make fuel stops, hence flying over land.

I sort of enjoyed that though it was pretty slow moving, I guess watching it for the first time at the age of 54 doesn't help! That was the skinniest yeti I've ever seen. How many times did they show it walking towards the camera??

Sorry, didn't make it halfway through this one. I think it had potential but it is so drawn out with long just walking music scenes going up the side of a mountain. Movie was made longer than needed to be by a long shot and by using these loud music walking scenes. Don't have to drive the treasury home, I guess the director didn't understand that
