It is about a woman named Much Afraid and wants help escaping her enemies and goes on a journey with the Shepherd. It is very moving and hits you in your soul. There is a sequel called Mountain Of Spices that is also very good to read. These are old books, but timeless by Hannah Hurnard. I hope you check them out.

My niece is seven and her teacher asked her class to write about something they were afraid of, she told her teacher that the only thing she was afraid of was going to God on judgement day and God telling her he did not know her . This is her uncle's biggest fear as well and God knows this and is warning me to make it right. We are not here for long, don't waste it . God is good.

I'm happy that I came across this movie. When I was 6 years I received many books from my uncle and they were belong from my late grandpa. I didn't have a chance to meet him he passed away when I just was 5 months. And among those books there was the Pilgrims Journey , I never forget about that book till now and it is the same story and character of this movie . That's the best heritage I can say that I received from my Grandpa. Please parents money, houses,cars.... are good heritage but find something that is more valuable that will last forever which knowing God, teach your children the ways of Our Lord Jesus I can assure you that's the best heritage that you can leave to them because no one can take that from them.

I was presented with this book, The Pilgrams Progress, by an older Christian friend. Once I started reading this book, I realized it was my lifes journey complete with all the twists, turns and detours. I've read this book twice. On a recent trip to MX, this book was the book I chose to take with me. I'm glad I did. I had the opportunity to share Gods word and this book with a curious young man who read it with enthusiasm, so much so I gave it to him. It's amazing how our father works. God Bless
Watching this movie is like a journey through my own life. I laughed, I cried but most of all I remembered what Christ has done for me. And that is what makes this movie great.
Ditto! I loved the book. I have the two part one: Christian’s journey and part two, his wife, Christiana’s journey along with her children, both by John Bunyan. This film reminded me of many things in the Christian walk and Scriptures and also, that we must keep hope and pray for our loved ones that aren’t saved. We don’t know exactly what He is doing in their lives-- I KEEP praying and pray to be a better witness!
If Bunyan was around today, he would no doubt have Christian meeting with the Distracted family - Mum & dad glued to the tv, eldest daughter glued to her phone, and the other kids playing video games. If he told them of his quest (assuming they even heard him), the response would likely be; 'Come. Join US. Distraction is the best and easiest way to forget your burden.'
As I watch this, I find myself screaming at Christian not to be so foolish to get off the path... then I wonder how often the angels do the same to me as they watch me live my life. This movie is a great eye opener.

Ive always heard about this movie for years but now I’ve seen it for myself and all I can say it wow. It very sobering. Amazing . I sent to it out for others to watch and highly recommend for young and old. My dad always says the children are never too young to learn . Lee us get to them first before the enemy. To everyone who enjoys this movie...I want to encourage you all to read the book. I read it 3 times, and each time was even more enlightening. The original was a difficult read as it was written in the 1600's. English was a much different language then, than it is now, however, it has been updated to modern English. This book written from a prison cell, was so spiritually gifted, that it sat beside the Bible on pulpits in many, many churches for hundreds of years. John Bunyan wrote several books that were greatly loved. This "The Pilgrims Progress" was his greatest work. Remember folks, as they always say..."the book was much better". God be with you all on this journey to the city of the King of Kings.😊
I agree read the book!!. I am now in the story of Christiana 's journey. The book is much more but am glad this version of the movie has far more details than the animated one on amazon prime.
John Bunyan Definitely did an amazing job writing this !! Especially from a jail cell under persecution! He is with the Lord now and his work is still planting seeds in 2024 !! Its hard to believe this wicked world has allowed such a blessed work of literature stay in print since the 1600s!! Such a blessing to watch this rendition! Everytime i watch it i see so much more spiritually than I did before. There is nothing more beautiful than salvation and the Lords sanctification all the way to the day we are glorified!! God is good! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

So timely especially in the times we live. The giant of despair , the lying testimonies of the envious, vain confidence etc. Acts 14:22 ….that we must through many tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. I went to a Christian school growing up and in fifth grade we read this book as a class. And at the end we wrote an essay given a writing prompt. I forgot what the prompt was but it was really heavy and deep. Anyway, after we wrote our papers, our teacher let us watch this movie version of it. I hadn’t thought about this movie since then until today for some reason it was randomly on my mind. Glad to see people still love it.

I've watched this version about 50 times. When I feel the pull of the world, and my heart starts to wander to old familiar loved sins, I watch this. It.always puts my feet back onto the path to the Celestial city..My ex Fiance whos not a christian watched it. He said it was very well done and depicts the feelings of guilt and the burden of sin perfectly. I hope like Christians wife, he gets the Invitation to the city before it's too late for him. Watch it you will love it!

Wish I could click the thumbs up for this movie way more than once. It is an astounding representation of the real life struggle of a Christian to stay true to the path. At this point in my walk, I am starting to see the very obvious to me, distractions the devil sends to try to get me to even get angry or frustrated. I can only smile, seeing how feeble the attempts of the enemy really are.

I read this book to my late husband when he was very sick and opened his heart to God. So it brings back many memories. I love to see how my imagination from the book differ from the film, but I love this because it is images I remember better than words.
I was ignorance and was brought to the celestial city by vain glory and was cast into hell. But the Good Lord took mercy upon me and sent Helpfull who cast the rope of Hope down to me. It lifted me out and brought me back into the presence of God. Thank God. Now I am set properly on the narrow Way that Christ is. I'm not sure how this journey will end but I can testify in the amazing mercy and forgiveness that Jesus is. If you seek you will find and always pray that your faith is increasing each and every day.
I truly am thankful for this movie, it lead me to the original work given by the LORD. There is a part in this dream, where the two characters receive a "thrashing" from the LORD:Who the LORD loves He disciplines. We are living in a time where some people think there are NO CONSEQUENCES for their disobedience. They think they can live according to the Flesh and the LORD, will just accept it because He loves them so much. I just watched the vision video version of this. This is my favorite movie as of this moment. I literally understood my current situation as I was hurting from my recent relationship. The line that impacted me was "Sometimes rescue means pain.." then I realized Jesus rescued me from further brokenness if I would stayed longer from that relationship. Then became teary-eyed and peace reign in my heart. Thank You Jesus. You are always showing your grace in my life whenever I am confused in this life. Praise Jesus!

You are only saved once, use it wisely - so all the others were imaginary. Please pray for everyone to find God's Truth given only in the Bible, not their own truth. We can see the vanities of everyone thinking - the judge reminds me of the non-scientist judge jones pontificating whether his court should entertain a USA school board teaching evolution vs creation. Hypocrisy & bias in the extreme.
I watched this as a kid. Along with the passion of Christ, I can definitely say movies and experiences like this are great for you life, watching it now as an young adult it eye opening.

To everyone who enjoys this movie...I want to encourage you all to read the book. I read it 3 times, and each time was even more enlightening. The original was a difficult read as it was written in the 1600's. English was a much different language then, than it is now, however, it has been updated to modern English. This book written from a prison cell, was so spiritually gifted, that it sat beside the Bible on pulpits in many, many churches for hundreds of years. John Bunyan wrote several books that were greatly loved. This "The Pilgrims Progress" was his greatest work. Remember folks, as they always say..."the book was much better". God be with you all on this journey to the city of the King of Kings.😊

John Bunyan Definitely did an amazing job writing this !! Especially from a jail cell under persecution! He is with the Lord now and his work is still planting seeds in 2024 !! Its hard to believe this wicked world has allowed such a blessed work of literature stay in print since the 1600s!! Such a blessing to watch this rendition! Everytime i watch it i see so much more spiritually than I did before. There is nothing more beautiful than salvation and the Lords sanctification all the way to the day we are glorified!! God is good! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

So timely especially in the times we live. The giant of despair , the lying testimonies of the envious, vain confidence etc. Acts 14:22 ….that we must through many tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. I went to a Christian school growing up and in fifth grade we read this book as a class. And at the end we wrote an essay given a writing prompt. I forgot what the prompt was but it was really heavy and deep. Anyway, after we wrote our papers, our teacher let us watch this movie version of it. I hadn’t thought about this movie since then until today for some reason it was randomly on my mind. Glad to see people still love it.

I've watched this version about 50 times. When I feel the pull of the world, and my heart starts to wander to old familiar loved sins, I watch this. It.always puts my feet back onto the path to the Celestial city..My ex Fiance whos not a christian watched it. He said it was very well done and depicts the feelings of guilt and the burden of sin perfectly. I hope like Christians wife, he gets the Invitation to the city before it's too late for him. Watch it you will love it!
There's another version that's animated. It's soooo good! Not just for kids. I watch that one atleast twice a week! It keeps me grounded and on the right path❤

Wish I could click the thumbs up for this movie way more than once. It is an astounding representation of the real life struggle of a Christian to stay true to the path. At this point in my walk, I am starting to see the very obvious to me, distractions the devil sends to try to get me to even get angry or frustrated. I can only smile, seeing how feeble the attempts of the enemy really are.
It really made impact in my life. May my family and I make it to the celestial city in Jesus mighty name, amen!❤

I read this book to my late husband when he was very sick and opened his heart to God. So it brings back many memories. I love to see how my imagination from the book differ from the film, but I love this because it is images I remember better than words.
I was ignorance and was brought to the celestial city by vain glory and was cast into hell. But the Good Lord took mercy upon me and sent Helpfull who cast the rope of Hope down to me. It lifted me out and brought me back into the presence of God. Thank God. Now I am set properly on the narrow Way that Christ is. I'm not sure how this journey will end but I can testify in the amazing mercy and forgiveness that Jesus is. If you seek you will find and always pray that your faith is increasing each and every day.

I truly am thankful for this movie, it lead me to the original work given by the LORD. There is a part in this dream, where the two characters receive a "thrashing" from the LORD:Who the LORD loves He disciplines.
We are living in a time where some people think there are NO CONSEQUENCES for their disobedience.
They think they can live according to the Flesh and the LORD, will just accept it because He loves them so much.
Should a remake of this movie be made one day, please include that; people need the FULL COUNSEL of the LORD to make it to the, "Finish Line."

I just watched the vision video version of this. This is my favorite movie as of this moment. I literally understood my current situation as I was hurting from my recent relationship. The line that impacted me was "Sometimes rescue means pain.." then I realized Jesus rescued me from further brokenness if I would stayed longer from that relationship. Then became teary-eyed and peace reign in my heart. Thank You Jesus. You are always showing your grace in my life whenever I am confused in this life. Praise Jesus!
