- Today’s young adults are immersed in an internet culture that brings with it host of new social and legal challenges. When an ex-lover posted compromising photos of Nyika Allen online, she felt traumatized, ashamed, and defenseless. This difficult experience transformed her into an advocate for all victims of revenge porn, working with policy makers to ensure that all future targets of this abusive practice have the support they need and the power to fight back.
Nyika Allen is the Executive Director of the New Mexico Technology Council. She is passionate about technology, startups, women's issues and the economic health of New Mexico. Along with her position at the NMTC, Allen is also the Tech Expert on 2KASA Fox, Director of Business Development at Volante Software and President of Nyika Media (www.nyika.tv).

Dated a guy for six years. It was a very sick relationship that left me with ptsd and self hate. During breaking up he blackmailed me, and said he will post every picture and video on every social site and send it to all our mutual and my friends. I have more than 1000 people in all my social media together who are from all over the world.
I broke completely. Every time I tried to sleep and relax my body it would shake like being tased. I couldn’t speak for a few months normally, I started having panic attacks and still do to this day.
I’m still broken. I feel like I’m nothing, and won’t b anything ever. Feels like as soon as my mom leaves this world, I’ll just go after her. Feels like I’ve been drowning for the past 10 years, and it’s not getting better.

Honestly you should have professional psychological support(psychologist, therapist), seriously. If it still affects you so much even after 10 years you have to take care of it. A professional will never share your story with others so don't be afraid of that. Also forget about the stigma surrounding psychological support. It's completely based on scientific evidence. It's possible to stop most, if not all, of your suffering

Please take professional help. Good people should learn to live successfully and share the bitter lessons learnt, so others don't go through the same trauma. The person who cheated is bold and you are hiding. It should be other way round. So believe in God, bounce back and be a Tedx speaker. God has sent us with a purpose. Take help to get rid of guilt. Be a warrior. Fight back and be an inspiration. You are already by sharing your experience here. You are in my meditation and I believe in Divine Energy will heal yoy.
Intimate image abuse is not a joke at all. I would not even wish my worst enemy to go through this at all. Not only is it a crime but it’s straight up bullying and harassment. I have unfortunately showed men explicit video’s of myself on face time on Discord and everyday I worry if my video has ever been leaked or not. This world is a scary place. I pray that my videos never get leaked and I pray that all victims of intimate image abuse are safe and are doing fine.
These types of people are and will always be ex’s for a reason, They deserve nobody.
I've been targeted too, so I am glad that the people who do this may get some actual consequences for their actions. It's actually a tough thing for a person to go through in a society built on religion and constant judgments. Judgments like the ones displayed here and in every comment section of every video or article online. Thanks for taking a stand against this foul behavior. Stay strong and be a good example for these young people who may think it's the end of their world when it happens to them. I want them to know, that it most definitely is not. You're not alone.
Revenge porn is stupid, thank God someone got on top of this to stop this madness. One of my friends had to go through this because she broke up with a guy that was obsessed with her. No one should have to play apart of this pathetic game, justice shall be served.

What an uninteresting speaker. She chose an appropriate and important cause, yet failed to grab attention and make people hooked to her every word. No emotive ability. Neither anger nor authority on the subject. I do sympathize with her though. Just my thoughts.
