One remarkable detail of the game to me is the use of Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star manga artist Tetsuo Hara to make the game's art, a different line from other Capcom 90s fgs. It makes me wish Capcom was interested in collab with outside artists.
Guess Capcom thought there's more money to be made in creating goofy DLC for Street Fighter 6 than to continue the Saturday Night Slam Masters franchise.
Apparently there are some copyright issues with the series, that Capcom have hopefully cleared out enough to give one of these characters a new appearance.
At least Haggar could beat Galactus, DrDoom, Wesker and other villains in Marvel vs Capcom. Scorpion, Wraith and Jumbo should be a GREAT Addition to Shadaloo and Street Fighter Roster...instead we have Fang and other HORRID characters😢

If Haggar ever appears in SF (that by now already looks like a bizarre delay since even Lucia appeared) i wonder how his moveset will be worked to be different from Zangief. Because the current fg scene doesnt have the same tolerance for "clones" like in the 90s. Its interesting and funny whenever we remember that actually Haggar is the "original" one and Zangief is the copycat newcomer that came later, as SF2 came after FF1. And Zangief's status was created only because he was lucky to have debuted in SF2. Maybe in some alternative timeline the SF2 devs chose to use Haggar, anticipating from one "generation" earlier the SF-FF integration that only took form in SFA1.

Probably because this game takes place before the events of SF2 IIRC plus there's no need when they're all wrestlers and we already have those (some along with Birdie that do pay nod to Slam Masters) so no need to include any of these.

@Tainopisno1 I never played it on SNES but I know it exist...capcom was a strong supporter of genesis and snes.the one game they never ported to the home consoles was alien vs predator man that game was the best old school beat'em up
Whoever decided to change part 2 into a this style fighting game.. I know for a fact he was doin this 🤦🏻♂️.. Yes I'm talkin about u🫵🏿.. It made me so sad.. I took it to the pawn shop after beating the game with every character.. Begged my mom n told her she can get herself some money.. My dad was always goin to do the opposite to make me suffer.. Didn't want to look at the game.. What's crazy about Capcom they was goin to add 2 of the characters to SF5 then changed their mind -- Rasta and Sabre I believe.. This was b4 all the DLCs bcuz they still didn't do it.. They also was thinking about adding some characters they didn't do to one of the Marvel vs Capcom series.. Again a no.. Lets see where they go with 6.. If u didn't know few of their games supposed to tie in

Nothing but SF and Marvel managed to get far at the time, and even SF died in 99 and MvC in 00. So this one unfortunately had no chances.
They ruined the franchise with Slammaster 2.. They took out everything that made the first one original/fun, and made it into a standard fighting game

How so? I'm sure they were all inspired by real wrestlers. Haggar looks like the Big Boss Man for instance and Stingray looks like Rey Mysterio
