Russell is facing Blaenau. But normally she is facing Caernarfon. Has she been recently taken off the track and turned or is there some facility for turning locos on the WHHR? I wasn't aware of any track layout anywhere on WHHR or F&WHR that allowed this. Never mind a turntable (other than the small waggon one at BL).
@@FfWHR-MovingPictures Ok, I understand that, but what is the long term reason for Russell’s visit to the FR? I know that it can run up the FR as far as Rhiw Goch, but is too big to proceed any further. It can of course run the full length of the WHR, which it has recently done. Also why the need for a mechanical examination; isn’t that usually done at the WHHR workshop?
Russell will be a part of the WHR100 gala this year and needs to have a few adjustments to make sure all goes well, while it was at Boston Lodge it was simple for WHHR and F&WHR fitters to examine and make a plan.
Splendid!
Iv a real soft spot for Russell it looks so well on the cob

The loco was loaded onto a lorry and then unloaded the other way round.
@@FfWHR-MovingPictures Thanks!
Is it me, or would Russell suit a chime whistle..
In the first shots of Russell, why does he look shy when he’s behind the trees
He's nervous about crossing the road, unpredictable things, these motor cars!
What is the reason for Russell’s visit to Boston Lodge? 🤔
Checking mechanic clearances etc

didn't know there was 2 britania bridges 🤔
Where the new Premier Inn stands was the site of the Britannia Foundry and it gave its name to the bridge. Sadly it was demolished in the 1970s.
Fun Fact:
Both Britannia bridges (Pont Britannia) are rail and road bridges.
Both are in North Wales :)
just a special engine RUSSELL
