Last time I went to see cherry blossom flowers was 3 years ago when I was in Korea. I went to Yeouido at the time. It was so crowded even inside the subway station.
The first thing I did after getting out of the quarantine was going to the gym. I felt so lethargic when I couldn’t hit the gym during the quarantine period. That’s why I felt so alive when I was able to sweat in the gym.

I’m Mexican-American/Chicana and so seeing Mexican food in other countries is interesting. And as you’ve had real-authentic Mexican food, you know what good Mexican food is. I’m shocked at $8 for chips! That’s insane! I’ve always said it would be a dream to open a Mexican restaurant in Korea, but it would be difficult to get authentic bc a lot of the ingredients would be hard to find/expensive. Chiles/chilis, would be easy to find as Korea and Mexico share chilies as a food staple. All the Mexican restaurants in Korea I’ve seen make flour tortillas. Traditionally Mexican tortillas are made from maíz. I would assume the flour tortillas are result of maíz not being available in Korea? Lots of things I should research. 😅 Anyway, thanks for sharing the nice lil date and meal y’all had. 😊 Stay safe!
I have had authentic Mexican food before (Jae) but Min has not, so he can only compare it to other Mexican restaurants haha
But yes there are some good places here but so expensive and can’t compare 😅

Just went to a neighbohood Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn. We asked what happened to the chips and salsa for the table. We were told that you now have to pay for it because of the pandemic. We were so saddened.

Last time I went was 2019 … and then you know Covid…. Min has never gone! We are saving to take a BIG trip there soon ^^!
Jae, do you ever feel insecure because of your size, and weight compared to Min, especially in South Korea, where women are tinier, weigh less than men on average?
Hmmm maybe slightly in the beginning I did, but I feel that with everyone one anywhere 😅 but now I am proud of myself, I am very healthy even if I weigh 30kg more than Min 😂 and Min loves my body so that helps! 🤣
@@MINJAE1 that's great, glad you're healthy and that you don't feel insecure anymore! Its nice that you have the confidence to be true to yourself, especially living in a country that doesn't celebrate bodies like yours.
