Person with the depression question: if you can, ask your doctor. The NHS provides free counselling but the waiting list can be a long long wait. So in the meantime google your area and if there are any local services that provide free therapy. I'm sure there is. For example, I live on the Wirral and there are really good places where you can just drop in and join in group therapy sessions, etc,etc. Help is there. Research around. :)

Most definitely agree, that exercise helps. Also finding a passion you really like or finding a new hobby that you've always wanted to do. Like writing or drawing or cross stitching. Something to enhance your mind and small goals to work towards. Even if you think 'oh i'm not very good at this' just do it for yourself and you'll improve. If you love doing it, so what? Also I really find being online helps so much, watching positive channels. There's such a good network of people online to share your interests and passions with. I hope they read these comments

I love this. I broke up with my ex coming up 9 months now. I am now with someone else and we were friends for a couple of years. I was stuck between if I should tell my current boyfriend how I felt about him because I didn't want to ruin our friendship. Finally, I grew a pair and told him and he said he felt the same. We have now been together since November and its the best decision ever. I now know how a girlfriend should be treated. I am now the happiest I've been in years and I have literally found my soul mate. Do not hold back on telling people how you feel because it may be the biggest regret if you do

Yaaaaaaaaa it can be long sometimes I think it depends what's available in your area at the time. But definitely see your GP as a first resort.
My boyfriend is struggling to find help he went to see his GP and they were really unhelpful they didn't refer him to counselling either
