I love these guys. They basically pick up where Sabbath left off at vol 4. Haven't heard a sabbathy band I like this much since Trouble, and I actually like Orchid a bit more.
I've listened to a lot of Doom Metal...Electric Wizard, Sleep, Witchcraft, etc. I have to say, this song -hands down- gives the best feel of that Black Sabbath sound I've ever heard. No, they're not just impersonating the Masters of Doom themselves, but they are giving tribute to a very specific type of sound and music that all other metal bands altered. This song, specifically, to me, expands the genre of Doom Metal inspired by Sabbath. Even the guitarist's solos, the lead singer's look and sound, the rhythm, all of it screams, "Sabbath." I'm here in 2020. I've been listening to this song since 2011, and I will never stop. I come back to it every few years, and still get chills down my spine. Thank you, Orchid, for what you guys did 9 years ago. I can promise you I will be listening to this song 9 years from now, and even in the last of my days here on Earth.
In the premier league of the new pretenders of Doom metal, along with Hour of 13, Seamount, and Lord Vicar, they pick up the baton from Witchfinder General, Pentagram, Pagan Altar, and Sheavy, keeping the sound of Sabbath alive for the new wave of Doom Metallers to pray at the altar of............Worship and throw your Dio devil sign to the sky.
Nice use of the main riff from 'A National Acrobat'. As is the riff from 'Hole in the Sky' in 'Capricorn', and 'Supernaut' in 'No One Makes a Sound'. Blatant plagiarism but I still like those guys.
@lmsjr - man, I musta listened to this same song like 4 or 5 times yesterday... and I'm listening to it again right now! It's amazing how many GREAT bands are out there, but a bunch of generic crap gets all the publicity.
Not complaining just saying these guys have copied Black Sabbath in just about every department! Singer dresses, moves and sounds like Ozzy. Lead guitar is a 100% replica of Tony's and the whole sound of BS is duplicated!! Like I said not complaining because as far as I'm concerned we can never have enough Sab sounds.

Yeah i dont mind orchid if you can copy someone's style but then sound good then your in the clear but if you copy someone but then sound like shit then its a poser thing.
