I feel some scenes would’ve been more meaningful if characters called each other out, beyond what’s immediately happening in the scene. In the mew/ray scene, and even in the other character’s eyes, ray is rlly in the wrong- mew doesn’t owe him anything physical regardless of their status and ray is enabling behaviour that’s clearly impacting mew negatively. But ray should’ve highlighted that they’re actually using each other - it’s not that mew still loves top. he’s using ray’s connections, proximity and lack of resistance to feel better about his breakup knowing ray has issues with addiction, and that he won’t say no to mew. He doesn’t want to have a deeper relationship with ray but he’s pushing him into a potentially dangerous position, just so he doesn’t have to be the “poor victim who got cheated on”. I rlly like this complexity to mew’s character but no one ever confronts him, they just treat him like everything he does is justified and the only person he’s hurting is himself or top who deserves it. obviously not justifying ray and his treatment of everyone (particularly best boi sand), but everyone is always calling ray out.
Honestly top is crossing the line like back off honestly you cheated on him with one of his best friends he’s not gonna forgive and forget in just a couple of hours give him time to see if he wants to talk/ deal with you again don’t force and pressure him into doing it and honestly with the mom and aunt if you see your son trying to get away from someone by keep rejecting his offers to be around then why tf are you letting him tag along and being close to him I would have honestly had some words for my momma and aunt if they did me like that like you see your son legit rejecting him in every type of way in your face and they just ignoring mew feelings if I was mew I would have mf left all three of them at the store or infront of his dorm the first time he showed up. If I’m a parent and I see my child is acting standoffish and acting like they don’t wanna be around a person I’m not asking no questions ima read the room and act accordingly I won’t be rude but I wouldn’t be over friendly like mew mom and aunt was all 3 of them was way out of pocket and crossing lines I’m annoyed af 😂😂😂😂
