His YPC was not the prettiest. But the guy is one of two running backs in the history of the NFL to hit 10,000 career rushing yards without missing A. Single. Game… The only other back to do that?
Jim Brown.
That alone to me should be enough to put him in the Hall of Fame when you stop and take a few minutes to think about how amazing of an accomplishment that is even with toting the ball close to 400+ times a year nearly his entire career.
Always thought YPC was a poor measure of performance because it neglects running strategy, playoffs, division strength, etc.
@@fairlanemuscle it's just an easy way to see how a player impacts plays on average, it's an uncomplicated stat, those things matter for sure, but ypc is just one of those stats you look at and go "oh okay"
@@fairlanemuscleand the biggest factor... offensive line
@@fairlanemuscleYds after contact is a decent stat. Wonder if there could be a way to take yards after contact and use yards before contact to come up with a stat could use those and extrapolate an offensive blocking efficiency to apply to YPC. It would still not account for the running back reads and cutbacks but it would be closer
I was today yrs old when i learned this. Never knew he basically never missed a game. That’s tough 💪🏿
Holy crap. Thank you for covering Eddie George. Him and Steve McNair are the reason I've been a lifelong Titans fan.
Same!
Yancy Thigpen
Same! That 1999-2000 season was magical. McNair, George, Wychek, Thigpen, Matthews, and Kearse were lightning in a bottle that year.
TITAN UP!
@@amonrodriguez3518ah hell nah he was terrible and we got screwed over with that contract.
Eddie George is forgotten? Damn I must be dating myself because I SURE AS HELL remember him. He was an absolute beast!
I feel like he's overlooked but it could just be my perspective. My dad was a big fan back in the day
@@FlemLoRapsnaaah you right i was young af when he played but I definitely do remember him havent heard his name in dumb long tho
@@FlemLoRapsthey never talk about him anymore it’s ridiculous
Bruising back with a low yard per carry average who was highly productive because of high carries. 403 carries in 2000 alone.
Facts yo. Coach George balled out. And his coach grind is on point. If you haven't go watch his club Shay Shay interview. Well rounded dude
How has ESPN or NFL Network not hired this man?!? Flemlo is THE storyteller of this generation
They’ve probably approached him but he has more freedom with how he does his segments doing it this way.
He's the coach of Tennessee State University.
@@LIFEWITHTHEJONESES1 I was talking about Flemlo not Eddie
@BamBamSam12 My bad bro misinterpreted your comment.
I hope he gets all the success without them. Keep his freedom
How can you forget Eddie George? The way he trucked Ray Lewis in that game is legendary.
i live in Ravens country but am from DC. when these ravens fans talk abt how Ray supposedly made Eddie bitch up in that 2001 playoff game, I remind them abt he trucked ray....delusional ravens fans kill me with that mess....eddie was a beast & was fearless
Eddie would have been a perfect fit with the Ravens...or the Steelers.
Simple. Derrick Henry started stiff arming fools so hard they had out-of-body experiences.😂
@crittoneida958 it was tit for tat. Ray blowed Eddie up in that playoff game, but Eddie got his get back the following year. I use to love to see those rivalry games. The AFC central games were rough back then.
I don't remember Ray getting trucked. I remember Eddie doing everything he could to avoid Ray. Trucked...smh 😂
The titans vs rams was still one of the greatest Super Bowls I’ve ever watched. The ending to that game was literally the definition of game of inches.
There's been a lot of great games in NFL history...but dare i say that was maybe the best, even though the outcome crushed me as a titans fan
@@ldmb1966I like baseball more but that’s the first Super Bowl I watched when I was little. I had my Eddie George and yancy thigpen cards on top of the tv! Spoiler alert. It didn’t work…
@@ldmb1966 There's a little part of me that hopes I've slipped into some alternate timeline where Dyson can extend the extra yard and the Titans won the SB every time I see that replay of The Tackle. I keep getting disappointed, though.
it’s the first one i remember watching myself. i was 6.
@@gondolin999 Yo young ass...
Eddie is such a good dude. Pillar of the Nashville community. He would take his kids to the pool I would go to. Very humble and nice every time I met him at meet and greets.
Stud
Eddie George is still BELOVED here in Columbus, Ohio. My mom was a huge Buckeye fan and Eddie George was one of her favorite players. For her birthday I even bought her tickets for us to see him star in a touring Broadway production of Chicago.
Eddie George being on the Madden cover when I was a kid was pretty much the reason I became a Titans fan. Being from MD, everyone would always get on me for liking the Titans over the Ravens but I didn’t care. I was rocking with Eddie and Steve all thw way lol
I live in Ravens country too...ravens fans always try to say that ray punked eddie in that 2001 playoff game with a big hit.....i always remind them of how eddie ran ray over with that stiff arm.....u gotta check out that YT vid with ray & eddie talking abt their rivalry. eddie says ray was too light in the ass when he first came to the league. that motivated ray to put on some weight in the offseason
He is TSU (Nashville) Football Head coach. He’s not forgetten here. Great video though, as always.
He's never been forgotten among Titans fans. He's still a large and active fixture in the community and the Titans family. Legend!
Thank you for highlighting him. Would love your thoughts and analysis on Steve Mcnair, his death was such a gut punch in Nashville. That super bowl and the run they made is still one of the most heartbreaking and fondest memories I have as a Titans fan.
I hope at some point you cover Ahman Green. He was another one of those absolutely insane running backs in the 2000's everyone forgets about.
Go big red! Ahman was THE man. One of my Huskers on Mr.Huskmore 😎
yeah boy... he wuz nice.
💯💯💯
Factsssss, that was my guy!!!
Wow haven’t heard that name in awhile lol
Shaun Alexander too
Man how you Narrate these videos make a person feel like we seeing the ppl you talk about we see them in real time..awesome bro..freaking awesome
If I had to have someone narrate my life story it's between Morgan freeman and flemlo raps 😂

Exactly this brother is truly gifted!
Eddie came into a sports bar I worked at one time. He took pictures with everyone and was a pleasure to everyone.
I wish I still had the picture he took with the kitchen, but when of the guys I cooked with back there was a D lineman at a D2 school, and Eddie absolutely dwarfed him. Dude is huge.
eddie still looks like he will get you that 1st down on 4th & 1
The man is a legend here in TN. Even with all the backs we have had, we ain't forgot about Eddie.
He’s not forgotten! Coach Eddie George has been quietly making waves. He’s a staunch businessman, community man, coach, father, & husband! The issue is he’s not loud about his accomplishments & his money moves. EG deserves all the respect on his name for his football legacy and beyond!
Very well said
I will never forget eddy george. Dude torched my team for like 20 yrs straight or something crazy
Who was your team
Come on Flem Lo we haven’t forgotten about Eddie! I met him once at a Buffalo Wild Wings, he don’t owe me anything but he gave me 45 seconds of his life which was very nice of him and I still remember today so I’ll always be telling everyone that he is good guy all time
I remember doing a dynasty with Clemson on NCAA 03 and recruited a tall JUCO RB that was such a powerful runner that during a game I was like “Man this dude reminds me of Eddie George.” 😄
Eddie is my favorite football player of all time. Glad to see his story being told! Definitely one of the best backs of all time and hopefully a future hall of famer.
Eddie G was a beast. My RB coach in high school used to reference him and Ladian Tomlinson to mirror our game after.
Great video. Definitely not forgotten in Central Ohio. Everyone loves Eddie. He is a true warrior/competitor. Big up to Eddie George!!!
Not forgotten from a man from southwest Ohio.
How could one forget about Eddie George?
I loved watching Eddie George play in both college and the pros. Underrated and one of my favorite running backs.
Lifetime Buckeye fan here. Thanks for this one FlemLo. Buckeye Nation loves this.
Yes, this was so fun to watch! Eddie was a monster in the Scarlet n Grey!
Ohio State TRASH. Go Longhorns!
His jersey was the last one my dad bought himself before the Oilers left for Tennessee.
dope💯
I just gotta say I really love the emotional depth you put into your videos. Not a lot of people cover any sport with this kind of human element. I appreciate it, because I’m not a huge fan of the way we talk about athletes with words like “assets” and “[draft] capital.” I watch sports for the humanity of it and it’s cool that someone else out there understands that.
Great work 💁🏻♀️
On point
I agree. Everyone seems to forget that these athletes are humans and not just mindless robots
Flemlo love your channel man. Been following it for years. Pleasure seeing you grow. Can you do a Peter Warrick Video?
I truly appreciate u bro
@FlemLoRaps nah we appreciate you putting out amazing unbiased well researched content with a message. Your reporting is truly great.
Why Peter Warrick?
@@CoachLen25 For real, I didn’t remember the dude at all and it turns out he was just a 4th rd draft pick journeyman that only lasted 6 yrs in the NFL
I SECOND THIS! The most forgotten NCAA star and the greatest open field runner of all time
New Flemlo vid 🙏🏾 Life is good 🔥🔥🔥
yessir
Eddie george, Curtis martin, and Cory Dillon three amazing running backs from the late 90s/early 2000s kinda forgotten about and underrated. No clue why
Man, watching Dillon’s tape, sometimes he was Adrian Peterson before Adrian Peterson. Never as good, of course, but the blue print was there.
He won and ran in the big games AP fumble against the saints another moss never came up when it mattered
ESPN, give this man a show, crew, a media card and set him loose already. He's better than anything you have on offer.
Sincerely,
All of us.
It's even worse for my Fred Taylor THE most underrated RB ever
Curtis Martin, gore, jackson, and your guy are all not rated appropriately
@@kenw2225 I don't care what the numbers say Fred Taylor was a much better running back than Curtis Martin watch you're tapes
@@kenw2225and Corey Dillon
Fred Taylor got snubbed the ProBowl his rookie season because of Eddie George.
Fred Taylor's nickname is "Fragile Fred". Says so in Pro Football Reference website.
It's crazy to me that Eddie could be forgotten. I grew up in the county where FUMA is located and my brother played there with Christian Hackenberg. Mr. Georgr was a constant at the school in a lot of ways and an absolute legend in all of our minds. So I guess I always assumed the world saw him that way. But then again its in the middle of nowhere so maybe my view is biased.
@flemlo - you should look into doing an episode about Fork Union Military Academy. A lot of players you have covered are Alumni. The dynamic and history is interesting. 4 Heisman winners and many legends have played there. My family has been employed in played there for 3 generations.
I’m not even a Titans fan but My uncle gave me these two throwback Eddie George jerseys and they’re my favorite jerseys i own. Never really knew anything about him until this video so now I’m glad that I watched this and I get to know how good he really was.
Wow your videos are the absolute best along with KTO's. I swear you and he should be on national sports shows by now. Loved this video! Eddie George is a role model! 💪💙
“He didn’t have the vision, but his mom was his eyes.”
As a new dad that hit me hard, much love flem
Eddie George is one of my favorite running backs of all time along with Bo Jackson and Shaun Alexander. I remember I would always put him on my raiders in madden 05 (the best madden of all time)
No lie about that
Eddie is my favorite running back! When I saw him play in person, I was locked in! My first and only game I ever went to! Huston Oilers vs NY Jets! lol yea I’m old! 😂😂
I always wondered the same, I was low key obsessed w learning about him for awhile. 95’ heisman
Back when I was a kid I'm talking 03-05 era Eddie George was my favorite nfl player he low key the reason I became a football fan I use to go crazy with bro in madden 99-03 lol
Good video Flem 🤟🏿💯
Best, most introspective sports channel . God bless u.
Being from NC, I loved Eddie George…He’s the reason why I used to rock with the Titans in Madden games on the PS2, along with Air McNair
Thanks for making a video of him. I'm from South Nashville and watched him as a kid & got a friend going to TSU this coming season.
Lets gooo Eddie George amazing man can't wait to see the future with him.. keep fighting everyday life aint easy men
These are my favorite type of Flemlo vids!
I worked at the College Football Hall of Fame the summer of 2012, when he was enshrined. He was the only big name that showed up, so he got a lot of the attention. He was kind to everyone that came up to him and signed every autograph.
I live in Nashville and I see Eddie from time to time. It’s hard to believe he was a running back. He’s HUGE. And always has a smile on his face.
Those of us over say 35 definitely remember this guy. Other than Earl Campbell he is probably the most purely strong RB we’ve seen. That TD run in SB XXXIV where he just digs in and forces his way into the end zone is one of my favorite plays of all time. If anything his height was a hinderance. But he adjusted just fine. Those Titan teams had a run of contention not many franchises get to enjoy.
Born and raised in Columbus, OH and have attended multiple Buckeye games. Eddie was by far my favorite back at once was, running back university! We have had some great one's, I really wanted George to win that Superbowl
Eddie George has ALWAYS been one of my all-time favorite running backs!!! ever since he was at Ohio State. In my eyes he was never forgotten and I never really thought his legacy was tarnished when he went against Ray Lewis. It just seemed like he came up against an obstacle and he just kept grinding and pushing and never backed down from it and you gotta respect that. Great content as always Flem!
I loved the Eddie and Steve McNair duo!! They were my team Outside of the Cowboys. That Superbowl loss hurt!
As a Titans fan and Nashville native, it was great getting to watch Eddie, CJ2K and King Henry. Thanks guys.
I got introduced to this man through NFL street on ps2 I learned he was a beast then. Went on to learn he won a heismen and was a dude in more than NFL street
Thank you flemlo. Eddie George was my favorite player growing up and no one talks about him
Great research and content!!!
Absolutely heater video as usual from Flemlo
Dude you should do a what happened to Ernie Sims… his first three seasons were superb but then he essentially became a journeyman linebacker in seemingly one fell swoop…
I would be really interested to see Flemlo cover Donald Driver’s story. Dude’s story is inspirational. He really beat all the odds.
My favorite player of all time. I will never forget the first time seeing him turn the corner in the scarlet & grey.
I love Eddie, he was the first Titans RB I watched. Will always have the fondest of memories for Eddie!
Eddie George should be in the hall of fame I’ve been saying this for years. He was a great RB. He was a beast on the field
I met him last year. Such an approachable, cool, and humble guy
Bro I always look forward to your content but if anyone forgot about Eddie George and those early 2000 Ravens vs Titans battles......they are not official football fans
even his major is really unique for a football player. landscape architecture. i took a gen ed for landscape architecture and of course they brought up that eddie george took that major.
Dude was a brute, he always had career days vs my team in his prime.
He's not forgotten in Columbus! Dude has a steakhouse downtown and its impossible to not see his jersey on the wall at a sports bar around central Ohio. Ironically, a sports bar I gig at has Eddie's jersey on the wall...I believe its signed as well....Shoutout O'Nelly's off Old State Rd!
I have a bucket list of owning a shirt or jersey for every team and Eddie is who I got for the Titans, love that dude
Coming from a Titans fan, it's an excellent choice.
Who's name did you get for the Dolphins?
For the Dolphins I have Joey Porter. I grew up a Ricky Williams fan so I’d want one eventually, but Joey was cool too. Found it for $15 at a second hand store so it was pretty tough to pass on.
After the “Music City Miracle” I became an instant fan of that Titans team back then with Eddie George. Super Bowl 34 is still one of the most heartbreaking Super Bowl ever smh lol
Great production. Your skill(s) have become second to none. I enjoyed the video and am happy for #27.
Good work. To both Flemo and E.G.
I definitely still remember him but I feel so many running backs from that error have been forgotten including Ahman Green, Ricky Williams, Warrick Dunn, Curtis Martin, Deuce McAllister, etc. I can go on.
He was never forgotten for me the days of Eddie George, Marshall Faulk and my favorite Priest Holmes was the best
this is one i can dig into, as a ravens fan i remember eddie fine well, i lived for his and ray's duels in the early 00s
Flemlo back at it. Hours of content. Part of the reason I don't rock with other streaming platforms
Eddie George was electrifying man just seeing him play you knew how special he was. I don’t think that not having an sb win hurts his legacy this dude was a pure legend.
As I Titans fan, this filled my heart with joy!
Eddie is massively respected here in Tennessee. I was too young to watch his prime but i literally never heard a bad word. Great guy.
Being a father and putting out great videos, you must be tired lol. This channel is a monster and this is my favorite type of videos. Appreciate the hard work!
That one hit me. The best to tell these stories bro thanks
Hes the reason I became a Titans fan! Titan Up! Thank you for the memories Eddie!

❤❤❤
that's beautiful bro.
🎉🎉MOMA GEORGE 🎉🎉❤
He's finding peace, hope everyone does. ❤
Yo FlemLo you gotta do a story on Earl Campbell. I'm a psychology major and I recently had to do research on him. He had a long struggle with an anxiety disorder and substance abuse. I think it would be a great story with you telling it.
I use to love watching him and Ray go at it as a kid. The guy was a beast
I see you been putting in Crazy work on your craft fam good shit
Eddie is a legend of a human. Was an amazing football player too
Before watching the video I just want to say Eddie is a BEAST.
Thanks for doing this one. I'm a Big Blue through-and through so it takes a lot for a running back from our arch rival to become one of my all-time favorites. George was a bruiser looking for contact and the wars between him and Lewis were epic. I thought if the Titans only had a Michael Irvin-type receiver to go with McNair and George they would've hoisted a Lombardi.
Great video. Main reason I became a Titans fan (along with McNair) and now he is the head coach at the college I attended (TSU) ❤
What an amazing man. I remember him, but i did'nt realize what a warrior lion he was and is. What an inspiration. Wow. He is married to one of the singers in SWV.
You are really good at this
Some of my fav osu games to watch was Eddies, that game v Illinois with donatos pizza 🍕 🧑🍳
He certainly redeemed himself vs Illinois.
13:18 "with a report card like this, you'd probably get some new j's" nah fr! some real shit right there😂😂😂
YES! Thank you. I swear I have to explain to people even my age (26) how RAW Eddie George was. I always show the video of his rivalry with ray lewis but now I can send them this
Flemlooooooooo!! Man, Eddie is who got me paying attention to college ball and have been ever since. I always liked power runners since seeing old clips of Earl Campbell's play. So, since he got me into college ball I also became a fan of The Ohio St as well lol. Appreciate the video.
He’s made a nice career for himself as an actor. And mans was unstoppable in Tennessee.
Titans legend. Got 27 hanging from the stands for a reason.
Titan up.
Out of all the photos flemlo chose a picture of Eddie in a beater with his arms up for 11 whole seconds. Wild.
