- In part 1 of this video series, I explore finding my own unique painting style by using techniques I've learned from other artists. I enjoy using collage as a starting point, as well as other tools to apply paint and remove it.

How do you like starting your paintings?
Thank you so much Haynes, I really really enjoyed watching you create your abstract artwork, I’m so impressed and I’m going to subscribe and given you a thumbs up too
@@Cyrilmc222004 Thanks so much. I appreciate your kind comment, and I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video without distracting music 😊 I am not painting atm, too much inside holding me back. Maybe I will try something like this. It is a wooden plate you are working on?
Thanks for visiting my channel and your kind comment! I was using a 12x12 wooden panel, but I’ve often used a random, thick piece of paper that came out of some packaging.
Great start. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
I'm glad you liked it! Here is the link for part 2!

Thanks for sharing this unique tutorial! I simply love it. Can we do sanding with sand paper also ? Will it have a same effect ?
@@fauzirehman288 thanks for your comment! Yes, I often use regular sand paper by hand. It’s great for getting specific spots, and when you have a more delicate surface like canvas and paper. I just love the random stress the circular sander produces when I paint on wood panels.
FYI, I believe that it's called a trowel. An anvil is used by a blacksmith in a forge. 😮
Thanks for the video 🎉
Yes! You’re right lol. The brand was Anvil. I put a link for the trowel in the description because I realized my error. Thanks for your comment!
