    What a useful tool the endoscope is. You can see right into the heart of the problem. Good job team.

    I am electrician but I see how similar we work. Identifying the problem, see if the problem is what you think, try to solve the problem and always tell the customer the truth. Honesty gives returning customers.
    Today I had two people drilling in the walls of an apartment building. They cut a cable each. Family with 5 children had no electricity so I had to fix temporary solution so they could eat in the weekend.

    I loathe people that screw over others & especially because they are too lazy to do their job properly.
    I hope the contactor does right by the customer. If not I hope the customer receives legal satisfaction.
    Awesome jobs guys!!

    Had a sewer job like that. Had to push a plug from street side to the concrete then per customer request we poured in acid and it did a great job making the concrete brittle. Used a spiral head to blow it out.

      That should work, hydrochloric would eat the cement without destroying the pipe.

    • @powerpcmac
      @powerpcmac 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If I had to guess there's issues with using acid because most places in Korea use septic systems or there's potentially laws about using certain chemicals

    • @Sarafimm2
      @Sarafimm2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@powerpcmac Wouldn't doubt in most "old countries" there would be issues because of the original materials used and then built upon by later workers without entirely removing the ancient 'ware. But if they keep them clean or updated, they're perfectly fine! (IE: Rome and Pompeii)

      Acid also damages the concrete part of the sewege system. Huge pispes are often mad out of concrete i think.

    I hope the culprits end up paying for all the work needed.
    I was watching youtuber Penetrator the other day and he has to deal with a lot of huge tree roots so he has a special root-cutting head for his high pressure hose.
    I think that might have helped in this situation.

    Such skilled, respectful, kind and honest workers! They were very gracious when talking with the restaurant owners. Their reassurance helped the couple be less anxious. Very rare but very important.

    Ollie the Drain Addict has a head in his collection for breaking up scale and concrete in pipes. It uses the pressure to make the head rattle to chip away without damaging the pipes. Paying off the time to extract the concrete that way will be far cheaper than digging up the ground to replace the pipe.

      Just from a few videos, you can tell they use the endoscope often sometimes just a few meters, sometimes 30+ meters. They use hydro-power nearly all the time to power the heads with various chain types/lengths and one "penetration" head that looks like a drill--they'd have to be "pipe safe" so not sure what they're made from. The one way I saw that they don't use hydro-power (usually while inside a building) requires a power drill. They use the rechargeable battery packs and switched them out with a fresh battery pack when necessary. One or two waterproof large barrel vacuums. Nets and Grabber/Reacher tools of various types so you don't have to stretch to pick up "gunk". Throughout the videos I saw several lengths of hoses wrapped around cylinders that could require two men to lift--meters and meters long. Standard tools you would find in any household garage (including string!) and those specific for the plumbing industry. Anything from "surgical" gloves to heavy duty gloves, clear facemasks, and "baseball" hats to "construction" hats--especially near roads with appropriate road signs. I'm sure all their clothes and shoes/boots are treated against water damage, too. The amount of grease they come into contact with is horrifying, but I would also worry about acids and chemicals homeowners and business owners would use before they called a plumber. I would think these videos are all business or apartment related, but I haven't seen them all. It's always a good idea to see how old the areas around your business are, too. Standards and materials change over time. If something hasn't been updated in decades (or a century), it's good to know what you might be facing and what tools would be appropriate to use. If you're working on houses, you could get away with one person and shorter lengths of pipes/tubes. Apartment complexes and businesses would need multiple people and so much more plus endoscope length, too. And, as always, be honest with your clients and give them their options. (The view through the endoscope is usually a business maker.)

    Here in the rural US (and I'm sure other countries) we have on-site waste collections which are called septic tanks. Would you please clarify what a septic tank is in what seems to be an urban setting? Thanks.

    • @munirahbakar4123

      Anything physical that can break the concrete can also potentially break the pipe. There's another suggestion using hydrochloric acid but I'm not sure of local laws governing its usage.
