It's weird to see any character from this game portrayed as anything resembling conventionally attractive instead of an absolute abomination of a human being lol
maybe the world wasnt that ugly in reality, it's just MT Foxtrot's Combat Cocktail interfering with his senses
@@MAUTxxx This is how I understand Cruelty Squad, too. We're seeing the world through MT Foxtrot's distorted and warped understanding of his reality as a Cruelty Squad agent down on depression and high on combat drugs & DEATH; it's still a late stage Capitalist shitworld filled with garish fashion and morbid themes, but his perception of that world is a simplified vomit of colours and shapes, people smiling back with horrific faces and rippling bodies as he sprints around hallucinating on chemicals.
The obscure death messages and others like it (Divine Light Severed / Power In Misery / Hope Eradicated) are reflections of his inner psyche, trapped in a violent trauma loop of dying and regenerating constantly. Humanity have essentially created true Hell, where life is meaningless and endless, and death is just an activity to partake in.

I've progressed through the game after meeting. I've acquired many organs, a true CEO mindset. I have about a quadrillion dollars, and I am addicted to life.
She has defeated death, but I walk upon it's very grid. You cannot progress if you are not humble. How could you get to the top if you think you are already there? But there is no top; it's always upwards.
She is the real meathead. She's the one who doesn't get it, and never will.
Romancy Squad: a biopunk romantic visual novel
Impressive work. Not a genre I'd expect mashed up with Cruelty Squad. The UI looks really clean, and I love that you remade the "creepy mouth close-up" box from the original game.
Thank you, I chose this scene specifically because the soundtrack is perhaps the most sombre and I thought to myself this feels perfect for a visual novel setting.

Finally figured out what made this weird to me, it isn't the novel style or anything, it's just the fact her head didn't pop off in a goofy manner all bloody from the headshot, awesome video though.
This oddly reminds me of Paradise Killer in a way, and that's a pretty good thing. I love it.
