Ricky was in the middle of a breakdown and Phil’s making him feel like it’s his responsibility to give him a chance to prove he’s a decent person when he’s already screwed him over... narcissist!
Its a big ask I know, do you have any of the other two handers? Dot and Ethel from 1987 was like a little Play For Today, and just excellent. Thanks again for the uploads.
Apparently he's a total prick in real life as well. Thinks he's some big shot in life. Well he's been practically begging EastEnders to let him back for years and they've repeatedly ignored him so he can't be that missed.
@@chrisrowe7503 Apparently Sid Owen’s nice in real life, but he definitely does not appreciate the constant references to ricky lol, which I hardly blame him for. It’s weird Eastenders haven’t taken him up on that yet, probably when we get a new producer/when Janine or Bianca comes back full time he’ll be invited back.
@@iwillb3inurcmm3nts3ction7 That's good news always thought Ricky was good as a sort of loveable character whos a bit of a doughnut. Will be good to see him with Janine/Sam.
Eastenders had such good acting and script back then, they could do an episode of just two characters and make it great. Could you imagine then doing this now with ANY two characters? The script is bad and the acting is wooden as of the last 10 years.
If your done drink driving you wouldn't be just realised like that especially after an accident you would spear in court straight away the next working day even without an accident just being over the limit
@dan-fo8qr well if I'm wrong then I now know, I never been nicked even before for anything , and never drink and drive because its peoples lives and everything. I would dread to think what it's like being in trouble for such offences, I just think Yep serve time in jail like other country's, straight in
Loved this friendship, have you noticed phil’s two closest friends are ricky and nigel, two characters that are the complete opposite to him.
Thought Grant was closer to Nigel, Phil got on with Minty pretty well
And minty
Nigel was Grants best frind
Minty & Garry aswell
Very true
Payphones and A-Z maps 🤭🤭🤭 Life was really a struggle back then. How did we ever get by I couldn't imagine
Watching Phil and Ricky hugging each other made me want to cry
Ricky was right Lisa walking away from Phil 2 years time and he was Gona screw things up and Phil succeeded till 2018 even.
well said Ricky
Sid Owen gave a good performance here

Ricky was prophetic in his words, Phil messed up word for word a few years later and he lost Lisa and Louise
Jay Jay Now Lisas mentally unstable and Phils reunited with his daughter.
The acting was on point back then
Eastenders was great back then shame it is so crap now
@Arnie Praying that it gets better again.
RICKYYYY!!!
Wow, Phil (or at least his character) wasn't even 40 by this point!! He has led a tough life.
*RICCKKAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!*
Was this Ricky's original exit
This ending is right out of Five Easy Pieces
Thanks mate
No problem
17:40 I remember when Phil called himself a bastard lol I was only 10 at the time haha
I can not believe Phil and Ricky are friends

Poor old Ricky. Three years later he did exactly what happened to him to Barry. No sympathy for his character at all.

why don't people like Ricky?

Good actor is Sid Owen..
Anyone else recognise the copper who was watching them leave i recognise him from somewhere
Bought cider and carvery for Will, Simon, Jay and Neil in the first episode of the inbetweeners.
He's been in a lot of things these days he's in doctors I think he was in corrie for a short time as Tricia's boyfriend who punched Terry Duckworth
I remember him from primeval if you guys do. He was the security guard that got cloned by Helen cutter.
Inbetweeners episode
Ricky was right tho Phil never gave a damn really as long as he was sorted he’d throw anyone under the bus

You clearly don't know the system..... Court bailed. It's perfectly correct
