And the panic as I tried to exit out of it before she got there. Panic increasing and mom approaching top of stairs, I frantically pound the power button hoping it will go into hibernation and stop the audio output. NOPE. I had to try to tell over the music at my mom to make up an excuse to cover my ass, shes screaming at me (in anger and over the volume). I'm now frantically waiting for the computer to finish entering hibernation so that I can turn it back on and close the music. Waiting 2 minutes for the monitor to turn on, waiting even longer for it to boot up and login. About halfway through I gave up and in desperation I crawled under my desk and ripped the speaker cable out of the PC tower. Got grounded for 2 weeks and from then on the internet antenna was removed from my PC, I had to ask and give a good reason to use it, and then pull that heavy, bulky sommufabich out from the back of the desk and hold it tilted so my mom could screw in the antenna, hoping I didnt unplug or pull the giant box monitor on top of us and get killed. 2000s were dangerous man. 😅 kids these days will never know the struggles of dino tech.😂
