I've had Staff Me Up since I graduated Grad school back in May of this year. I've had at least 2-3 jobs show that they were "considered" or they would actually send me a text to go back on the website to let them know if I were available, and there wasn't anyway of contacting them to let them know. It's weird. Plus my profile shows I am available. How exactly do you reply to them when they are considering you for a job?
Very good review about Mandy! It's clear that Mandy is not delivering quite as you would have wanted. Right now I am busy with a school project that needs me to look at recruitment platforms such as Mandy. I was wondering if you could say something about what you would like Mandy to have? What would it make awesome again for example.
I believe things have changed because now the free version only lets you apply to 3jobs only… After those first free ones you have to upgrade your account to a premium account to apply to more jobs… I’ve applied to like 10 jobs on there and I have never got any one to consider me… not even for a PA position… I honestly don’t understand what I am doing wrong.
Impressive video! keep 'em coming! also, a small question.. Can I know which is the best platform to search for a Sound post production jobs like sound designer, Sound Mixing etc. ? Thank you.
I personally haven't purposefully looked for those specific jobs, but I have seen them posted on Staff Me Up. I've also seen them on Facebook film staffing groups.
Žone X i was in your place a few years ago, if you're genuinely interested in acting and performing then you should start taking classes -if you have the money, (i go to stagecoach performing arts). Look into any community theatres around that you could take part in but most importantly you have to improve your skills. Learn monologues ect and perfect them, film yourself and criticise yourself and over time you'll be a lot better. Going to drama/performing arts classes is very important because if you do have what it takes then your teachers will see that (keep in mind they have connections) and they will be able to point you in the right direction. (Sorry if this was too long i was exactly in your place and i did a lot of research at the time hope this was helpful)
Currently working on my Mandy profile for remote work. Gonna have to look into Staff me up. Good video!
Awesome! Good luck!
@@MyRoadtoHollywood thanks! It may go without saying, buy is it a good idea to start with the small jobs to build up a portfolio?
@@AndyKunkel Absolutely. If you can get on larger jobs than go for it. But usually, you have to start small.
I was setting up a Mandy profile while listening and just lost interest, thanks for the info
Glad I found this video! I'm in AZ too so I will definitely have to StaffMeUp another try!

Under Premium Tools, click on Jobs I’ve Applied to, and that’s where you can confirm your availability and see updates on your application.
Awesome indepth review on both websites.

Is Staff me up good for Uk based jobs?
What if I have no credits and no experience but want to get into film? Is there any other websites I could look at?
It’s all about how you build your resume and profile. You can still be hired without any experience. I talk about that a bit more on my resume video!

Any improvements since?

So is the staff me up paid account worth it in Arizona?
Yea, I think if you're constantly trying to get jobs it's worth a shot for a few months.
