Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary 💐and please do continue your channel! I don't mean to crowd your reactions but I just had to say how glad I was to see this review. I absolutely loved this book when I was in my late teens/early twenties. I've read it God knows how many times. To me in my small world it offered an escape and a way to get to know different worlds and more exciting people. For decades now I have even been saying 'I am a camera' to myself quite often, to remind me to observe and listen well. Thank you for reviewing this!

A while back I read Isherwood's 1976 memoir, Christopher and His Kind, which includes recollections of his time in Berlin. A fun companion read that gave some interesting insights into the goings on in the novel.

Waterstones in Stratford had Christopher And His Kind out on one of their display tables over Easter. Were I not on a book buying ban I might have picked it up. Definitely I want to read more of his writing.

Thank you Roy - it's quite nice to have another first birthday as one never remembers anything about the previous, the calendar age one
