Ormskirk Mediaeval Weekend 2023

The volunteers from Ormskirk and District Family History Society (registered charity no. 1004895) love any chance of an outside event. On 13 and 14 May 2023, we couldn’t wait to get to Coronation Park in Ormskirk, to set up our displays (enhanced by material from our Research Library in central Ormskirk) and talk family history with interested members of the public.
Beyond our tent, the twelfth century beckoned, as the costumed re-enactors from Historia Normannis set up camp around the “battlefield” that witnessed plenty of hand-to-hand combat . . .
Once again, it was a fantastic weekend - we’re already planning to return for the next one, in May 2024!
