I’m a big fan of Danny - he is 100 times the angler I’ll ever be, but also knows (and admits to) his limitations when fishing alongside the guys with a real gift for watercraft, BUT, his brain is always working to improve, optimise and challenge. Thinking Tackle isn’t just a gimmick as far as I’m concerned.
I’d love to see what mumbo-jumbo is being put out in 10 years time. Everyones driving them selves insane. Hair rig on, appropriate weight on, find a good spot, stick it out
I've got respect for korda bringing new light to an old idear. I used a rig where u had a shot behind the eye if the hook and on the point to balance a pop up so then hook was vertical with the point on the bottom. And I remember doing good on it don't think I lost a fish.
Dont no how any one can slate the korda team and especially danny fairbrass, what that man has done for carp fishing is unbelievable,if it was to make money he wouldnt be showing u this simple alternative which costs literally nothing, all hes trying to do is help us all and u have these idiotic people giving negative comments,u all want to have a good look at urselfs and get a grip, all korda gear is top class and its all i use because they put 100 % into everything, well done team korda i love u ❤
I personally think it works and it’s not over complicated like everyone thinks, and it makes sense, the proof is in the pudding, I will definitely be trying it myself on stoneacres just like Tom did when I get back down there, obviously In the right situation, it’s all about %’s and I think this gives you some more %’s 👌👍
I like Korda, the gear is good and their content has always been very watchable, but I'm struggling on this one. A shot on the hook isn't new, but what gets me is how much effect a small shot really has when a fish sucks in. We've seen it in the underwater series, twigs, gravel, leaves whatever all goes in, it's why carp suck and blow to feed. Is a tiny shot really going to make any difference as that water vortexes into the mouth? If you want to try it it was always done with a bit of floss a few turns round the hook, twist and add a shot. If it really does work, let have hooks with a weighted section on the bend above the barb.
Well in Danny a great idea to have although not origanal t Joo you but a great plan to have in your underwater I'd never seen the shot on the hook before so very new to me and I will definitely be tryi g this in my own fishing would love to see how Tom is tying the boom to a cog lead as that set up looks great 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
How all the old rigs come back into fashion, I used this a good 12 to 15 years ago... And for me( not saying it's the gospel, but it worked for me) was to fish it on a stiff section 2" maybe 3" long, longshank hook and a popup or floating artificial... The super short rig and aggressive hooking plays so well into carp curiosity, they mouth it and it's over...
Hello, thank you for the interesting video.🙂👍 You are a fisherman before a business man! 🤗😊 Otherwise you would have waited with the underwater video release til the shot on the hook connector is also available.😉🤗 Best regards and always tight lines! 🙂👍
He has had some serious health issues and is changing his diet in a radical way in order to mitigate as much as he can those symptoms recurring, anything he does he does thoroughly, and that includes his health ..... all the very best to him.
I really like all korda do. However these short stiff rigs are great on perfect gravel spots. Not having a gravel spot within about 100 miles of were i live does make me frustrated as nothing that is ever discussed or shown really applies to the venue's i fish.
Why not just make a hook with a tapered gauge wire that gets thicker at the bend before the start of the point. Surely that will make the hook "eye light" and remove the need for more materials. Probably sounds alot simpler than it is in reality.
carp are pretty robust. itll pass through them with ease. also carp eject there digestive tract to try and get rid of the hook, so should come out there. no different to swallowing plastic corn i guess
I'm genuinely curious has he just solved a problem that the rig he's using has created? It's off balance from the get go. He says it himself at beginning if you make the eye heavy the point is light so all that metal on the eye with the swivel is surely causing this issue surely? The kd rigs not been used underwater I bet that hooks well because of its aggressive hooking angle. One for you to test there Danny? Won't sell as many bits though.🙄
Another rig to catch the unconfident carp angler and promoting tackle yawn ,seen dozens over the years gets abit boring 😴 simple rig is sufficient to catch a carp .Good luck guys 👍
Seriously fella, give yer head a wobble. This is utter nonsense. You do know water is x800 denser than air, and folk believe a lead shot will pull down and hook a fish 😂 Fook me, honestly….🙄
Done me a bite at the weekend I love how quickly effective it is just like Danny says no beep just a screeming run !!
👌🏻
Same as a dozen other rigs. Just marketing dude
PB Products, Pole Position and Carp Whisperer do a really handy reusable one.

Great, I’m sure everyone is really happy to hear this. 😂😂😂
Be easier if they make 5pack of each size save people making there self 6pound a packet job done
You need to get a room with him as it sounds your in love with him
I’d love to see what mumbo-jumbo is being put out in 10 years time. Everyones driving them selves insane. Hair rig on, appropriate weight on, find a good spot, stick it out
No one is forcing anyone to do anything, you fish however you like.
bet you use it
If you watch the underwater film you will see the difference the shot on the hook makes
@@bryn3652 if you watch the edited film.. you'll see the difference it makes

The perfect rig !! ;) 🎣🎣

Pb products and MOD two name a couple already have tungsten shots which simply slide on to the hook, rather than tying split shot on
I personally think it works and it’s not over complicated like everyone thinks, and it makes sense, the proof is in the pudding, I will definitely be trying it myself on stoneacres just like Tom did when I get back down there, obviously

Super !! Merci Danny 👍

That tiny shot needs to slide right back up the hook or you have just the point in the fishes mouth..which is stupid and will damage fish

Pole position have a version out now.
Yep. There good to.
Better those of Carpwhisperer

Pole position already has one. Works good to.
Love this thank Danny legend 🇬🇧
thanks MT, gona try that next trip., ps loved the vids m.
Belta mate yet again 👊

Gotta luv danny
As far as the original shot the hook rig you can get , as you need the shot to move up the hook when you get a take .
Interested to see a video fishing in silt how rigs sit and react 👍
Already bought them from polepositions but create safety inline lead with qc swivvel saves crimping
Cheers top man dan 👍🏻
now we know how to tie the KUBA rig guys lol.
Could you use Dental Floss threaded on the bottom of the Hook then attach the Split Shot and blob with a lighter 😉👍
Can I just ask if Danny is ok during that clip, is he losing weight by design ?
He has had some serious health issues and is changing his diet in a radical way in order to mitigate as much as he can those symptoms recurring, anything he does he does thoroughly, and that includes his health ..... all the very best to him.
How many inches is the length of the boom? Excluded spinner swiffel and hook. It looks like 4 inches am i right?
What ever YOU want to use. That is the the good in fishing.. Don't copy, do it yourself..
Is he using a longshank hook?
seem to remember this back in the day?
15-20year ago was EVERYWHERE. These trends do loops
Used the same rig without the shot and done me 3 fish on a hard lake.
skiny gets sick
What size d kicker for size 6 longshank X?
I am a beginner fisherman, I wonder what role does the weight on the hook play? And what is his weight?
It makes the point of the hook "heavy". So that the point of the hook will be in a favourable orientation to penetrate the mouth.
I really like all korda do. However these short stiff rigs are great on perfect gravel spots. Not having a gravel spot within about 100 miles of were i live does make me frustrated as nothing that is ever discussed or shown really applies to the venue's i fish.
Fish helicopter system and push the beed to suit how much u think the leads sinking into the silt etc, doesn't matter wat length your rig is that way
Can’t believe how early I am 👍🏻
What ist this for a Dumbell ?
Which hooks are they? The long shank X?
Love Danny love Korda but gone back to simple braid rigs job done

Be too difficult and £££££
I just can't see how this rig is going to catch u more carp
It is not. But will be making loads of tackle sales, even if it does not work 😂🤣😂
👏👏👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
If it comes off chances are the fish will swallow it ?
carp are pretty robust. itll pass through them with ease. also carp eject there digestive tract to try and get rid of the hook, so should come out there. no different to swallowing plastic corn i guess
😂😂😂
Blob of super glue on the hook! Putty wrapped around it! Simples!
This is not new, its another rig that's back in fashion, there's very few new things in rigs.
In the movie you use 15 lb stiff link
I'm genuinely curious has he just solved a problem that the rig he's using has created? It's off balance from the get go.
He says it himself at beginning if you make the eye heavy the point is light so all that metal on the eye with the swivel is surely causing this issue surely?

couldnt that shot bump the hook out though
Какой вес грузика?
This concerns me, in that I'd get worried about the fish swallowing the shot if it comes off.
These will blow it out
How long the boom ?
On the underwater they ended up switching to shorter rigs, 3.5" / 4"
Don’t wanna say you been sayin for years!
Another rig to catch the unconfident carp angler and promoting tackle yawn ,seen dozens over the years gets abit boring 😴 simple rig is sufficient to catch a carp .Good luck guys 👍
If he started marketing PVA hooks the sheeple would buy them
More lead? No thanks. The rig turns if it’s tied right no need of daft money makers like this rubbish!
Is it just me or is danny looking very thin? Hope all is well.
nothing wrong with that, he was overweight for years
Anyone going to mention that this rig has been around years ive got it in a old fishing book. Its like they run out of ideas.
What ever next, too have to design a item that does not need to be designed!....
only a quarter of the hook can get buried in the mouth i would of thought
So that weight on the knot needs to slide right back for the hook to hold the mouth of the fish..soft mouth vs a knot😑
mate this is a breakthrough we owe it to danny and the korda team for this one
What for something Frank Warwick invented 20years ago
Seriously fella, give yer head a wobble. This is utter nonsense. You do know water is x800 denser than air, and folk believe a lead shot will pull down and hook a fish 😂 Fook me, honestly….🙄
Yawn
Speak to Frank!
@@oldgreg1I wanna know why Frank has hair blacker than the inside of a coffin at midnight.
They didn’t though did they even PB products have had a specific component for years.
Innovator, knows it
It is a hod shool rig
Why not just design a weighted hook to sit on the bottom
There’s a better way and less clumbersome Danny
Hmmmm lost two of three runs with that Rig……..To soft mouth no chance to geht them out
This is not fishing it's some sort of origami .Buy the time I had made this rig it would be time to go home
this rig is very simple to make
He'd sell snow to Eskimos
You fish for Pets with endless gimmicks to rip off anglers :)
More jingle jangle rubbish
lol load of bollox
