Tho I now that I'm late XD But this work very well to do the hard reset.. First Connect you're phone to you're PC open iTunes Then Pres low volume button and lock bottom at the same time then just stop pressing the lock button.. You should see a message in your computer

for iphones under 7 u have to hold the power button and the home button and it will hard restart
