In this tutorial, we will cover the basics of lighting, and some of the steps you will need to take to achieve it.
I'm sorry if this video's quality is low, I don't think my laptop would like it if I went higher than 720p. (my computer would e xplode)

Really well made tutorial! I am an sfm user who has used blender only a few times (and I've been good at lighting in sfm but struggled in blender) and this clears up a lot of things! Very quick tutorial, yet it covered all the most important things. Thank you! This might just be the best tutorial I've come across in a while

Bruv this is honestly under rated, this is very entertaining, funny, and super helpful, the only recommendation would be a better microphone but for now its tolerable, although its not like mine is much better.

tip: with evee and other game engines or programs without path tracing, you may need to mimick the bounce of light off things
this is usually called bounce lighting, the amount you need per scene varies, but its up to you to get it looking how you want it to :)

@@BTBAnimations even when i was a kid, way younger than i am now i had to learn this, sometimes even through friends around my age back then or younger doing sfm animations 😭
as a fellow blender user I can indeed confirm that he uses all the good tricks sooo this is a very simple to digest tutorial, but I would not use mrTrapX's aces
I only use it because it doesn't have as much color spaces as normal aces does. My screen is kinda small so I can't really see what anything is LOL

is it bad that i learned how to handle lighting from doing alot of render screenshots on GMOD?
because i learned how to do lighting by doing GMOD screenshots and i am already good at lighting on blender because of it

I used TheFazbear/Trixel's Springtrap, I'm not sure if it's public, but I remember CGAnimates made a Blender port.

For this scene, I modeled the room myself while just copy pasting a bunch of assets from the help wanted maps LOL

I got the Springtrap port from CG Animates, the props from FNaF 1s Help Wanted map, the room I modelled myself, and the light I got from sketchfab
