I grew up to Cyndi Lauper's songs. I never thought til now she was the original. Nina's version is updated for this generation. Good Job! I love Diane Warren's compositions!
One of my favorite revival songs of hers. I thought it was her original the first time I heard it back in 2004-2005, then later on, I found out it's Cyndi's when I started to get fond of this song. When the first time I heard it, I also did not notice/hear her whistle register after the Bridge. It's kind of humbling.. the sensuality of her voice also gets me whenever I listen to it.

The song is almost perfect to perfect. Her rendition is modern and up-to-date in this generation. You hear the gaps linking to each other and the ending is subtle.

honestly speaking mas type ko talaga tong version ni nina pero kasi kaniya kaniyang taste lang naman yan eh. yung kay cyndi kasi kaya ganun yun kasi yun talaga yung singing style nya eh and nung time na ni release yung version ni cyndi na yun mga ganung style pa ang uso eh shempre as time passes by nag iiba ang taste ng tao so shempre yung mga singer bina-base lang nila yun dun and sa genre at singing style nila.

Still prefer Cyndi's version by far. I just don't think this song has to be that romantic or something. On the contrary, the lyrics are kinda aggressive to whoever they are meant for, I like that the music does the same with more energy.
