"So it's a real nice shot." To me, it's much more than a real nice shot. All three of them, really. The first one I think I like best: with the triangle between the front three trees, it draws my eye in easily and naturally. The second one is like that Wes Anderson composition, just center something and split the frame--which works good here. That third one, with the slight grass movement, ends up dreamlike and fantastic. I think the dynamic range on the first and third were the most interesting to me. But wowza. Very cool photos!
Thanks Norman, glad you enjoyed, I have to say I can’t decide which I like best, which I need to do soon as I’m looking to print and put up on my wall at home, but I’m leaning towards the first
Thank you for this video - I really enjoyed your compositions. I have been toying with the idea of 6x17 back as well - do you get the full width on a 4x5? I got the impression that 6x12 was as wide you could go on a 4x5.
I think it might be, I have to admit that I haven’t done a wide crop from 4x5, with a dedicated 6x17 back you get a few options, 6x17, 6x14 and 6x12 via cutouts, it’s a great ratio and I would definitely recommend getting a dedicated back, obviously just be aware of the lens limitations you will get on the 4x5 camera, which has never bothered me, just depends what lenses you already have
Andy hi I thought that was Wareham forest I’ve done a video from that spot to when you get the evening sun on the grass it looks lovely. Great video Take care Trev
It is, but it does offer a unique view, something you could crop afterwards, but it does make me think differently when out.. and it is cheaper than a dedicated 6x17 even though it has its limitations
Just discovered this channel and I love your way of expression, thought process and images. Bravo
Thanks J. K got loads of videos in the making
Nice photo composition.
Appreciated, Thanks 😊
Good video Thanks!
Thanks Ted

I’ve been pondering one of those 6x17 backs. Just seems quite expensive for what it is.

@@andyemmett9930 I agree. Guess it's a question of spending the money for the art. Been doing lots of 6x12 so far.
How are you getting on with 6x12, I have the cut offs to be able to set the back up along with 6x14 but never used them
@@andyemmett9930 I use a horseman roll film holder and works very well
Actually got that back in 6x7 saved in my eBay cart, are they any good?
